I saw Dennis and The Review last night in Queens, two shows, millions of laughs and talked to some people that I never thought that I would have the chance to.The Review did a private show in Queens that was great. They had the women squiriming in their seats,David Sea laid it on em' and once again made it RAIN in NYC !The group dressed in black tuxes with black shirts ,opened with Standing On The Top .From there they went into Get Ready,Ain't Too Proud To Beg,Lady Soul,Papa Was A Rolling Stone,Don't Look Back,The Way You Do The Things You Do,Girl,Why You Wanna Make Me Blue,Rainy Night In Georgia(Mike had the women going for that one) They closed the set with the tribute to the Original voices of the Temptations, doing My Girl/Just My Imagination. The steps were tight especially in the second show where they had a few beautiful women providing some breathtaking sights in the front row,man oh man,GREAT GOOGAMOOGA Don't ya see it talkin........ooh,sorry I got sidetracked, but the Review didn't. The way they were stepping onstage,I thought I was At the Apollo in 1970! Dennis turned the clock back almost 30 years the way he was movin' like Heavy D,light on the feet,I was surprised. But if you saw the women, you would understand. It was a long time inbetween shows and they were cracking jokes,man.....we were cryin' back there, everybody took turns making each other laugh from 7pm to 12:30 am,I haven't spent that much time with them in a long time. From where I stood, you can tell that they really like each other and enjoy performing. No one seemed distant,or unhappy. I joined them in the prayer, and they went onstage and kicked backside. This was a last minute thing,I was not expecting this,I just got a phone call telling me about the show...it's not even on the tour dates, and I was there. I got a chance to speak to Paul Williams Jr.and Cornelious Grant by telephone. I told Paul's son how much I enjoyed seeing his father perform and not to believe everything that is said about his father,he was a very nice man and was second to none onstage....and don't let anyone tell you any different! He saw a picture of his dad and myself and wanted to meet me. That alone made my week. Cornelious said that he remembers me and we talked for about fifteen minutes. Never expected that. I would have talked to one of David,s daughters but she was not home. Oh,What A Night, one for the history books. Why me? 1^-) 1^-) 1^-) 1^-) 1^-) 1*-) Why not me? 1~-)
