Hi Ivory, looking forward to meeting you in person one day. Roti's around, she's been extremely busy lately. Maybe one day she'll return to the board. I'll tell her you asked about her.

So, I posted this elsewhere, but I'll do it here, too. Would y'all spend $40 a ticket to see Dennis' Review? Drive 3 hours? Maybe I sound like a non-fan asking, but I'm also a single parent. Anyway... I can get front row if I do it today! ;D I just wish I knew if that meant I skip a few dinners next month. TEE HEE. Just teasing. Just wanted to know if $40 was pretty standard price for Ol' Dennis. Peach

We didn't get a looong show when they came through my city, but apparently it was sufficient, because I was tired afterwards. It only cost $5, though. How long is the show? Forty seems like a lot; that may be because I'm always broke. If I had $40 I'd put that on a pair of shoes, to tell you the truth.

It was only $5?! Sheesh! I'm wondering if it's because it is at the Pueblo State Fair and the State Fair is needing the money. I don't know... I'd really like to take my daughter. And I think it would be a kick. But $40 (plus tax and fees--total would be $100 for TWO tickets!) Plus driving 3 hours. Probably need to stay in a hotel because it will be late... etc. Peach

The show my mother and I went to was at a little amphitheater near the house. Five in advance and eight at the gate. It was for the city's annual Fourth of July celebration. They have some local acts and some people we might know. Last year it was the Temptations Review. And this came right after my conversion to Temptaholi..cism. So you're looking at $100+? I don't think I would go; I'd have to wait until they got a little closer.

I don't want it to be a measure of my Temptaholicness, though. I like that word....Temptaholicness. Yea, I was noticing people booking flights to go to shows, kind of like the Grateful Dead following--only much, much cooler! ;D But if it means no food or no fuel for the car... dang. I have to finagle this somehow. You know I've never seen *any* form of the Temptations live?! In fact, since my daughter was born in 1995, I haven't been to a single concert. I'm not a big concert person, but Dennis!! I hate that I was born about 10 years too late. Peach

I may have been born a little late, too. About, what, thirty, forty years?

Peach, not to worry, we won't think less of you if you DON'T go. I am fortunate to have friends who enable me to get a free ride a lot of times when I go to these shows. If I had to look at paying $100 it might be kind of hard for me to go. Take care of that baby!!! And we ARE kinda like the Greatful Dead Heads ........... only we dress better.

peach, do the right thing for you and anna!
but-------- 2 things- my southern niece(irlm) is 18 and starving college student- every penny counts.
also, dennis is not getting younger. so if you can afford to, get a chance to see the man in person, 40 bucks is pretty cheap. i tell you, some of these nasty groups are charging more than twice the price for less than half the show!

I don't spend my own money. That would be silly! ;D
Mr. Edwards isn't getting any younger, but he's only 60 years old. That's not old at all. He might be a little weary, but not old. My preacher likes to say that tomorrow isn't promised to anybody, so if I kept that in mind, I would go. Still, $100+ dollars is a grip. But it's your grip.
