Well folks, too bad ALL of us were not at the Review Show in Nyc. The weather outside was frightful, but the SHOW was so delightful. Why do you say that,Mikey ? Because I have been to qutie a few shows in my time (contrary to popular belief),but it's been a long time since I enjoyed a show like this one.The reason for that is because I saw the show with Kalaisa,David Sea Fan,and a gentleman who is light on his feet and a very big man who I say his height was overshaddowed by his heart. That made this show extra special to me. To see Aba and another guy that someone said looked like Eddie Kendricks. They were TEMPTATION-WALKING all night long! For the record, the guy that they said looked like Eddie Kendricks, didn't look that way to me,but who am I to argue with a LADY ? K2& Dseafan were at the show when I got there,Aba was waiting for me. It was like seeing a brother that you have not seen since you were very young,he knew me,and I knew him. K2,and Seafan were FAMILY,and we OWNED the place. When Aba,my mom,my Lodge brother,C.C.,(not to be mixed up with Cammie Cam) got in the show was underway. When we got settled the Review sang "GOD BLESS AMERICA" ,then they did a tribute to the Temptations who are no longer with us. Singing "For Once In My Life",for Paul,"I Truly Believe",for Melvin ,"Can I?" ,for Eddie,I don't remember which one they did for Ruffin, and I'll explain why later. For the first show the Review had on different colors ,like a Rainbow. They finished the show with My Girl/Just My Imagination/ Stay/ My Girl and the crowd LOVED it. The reason why I don't remember what song they did for David is because the caught me offguard when they sang Can I ?,that was a special Eddie song,he really liked that song! Now the first show is over.We are still waiting inside whe the group comes out.We talk with them, despite security trying to hassle us. Finally I tell them that we all have tickets to the second show. Go back into the hole that you came out of.Dennis lets us in the dressing room, and we talk, take pictures, laugh, all the while Dennis and Moms are getting their hugs on! When he sees me he goes,"What's up ,OLD Man!" My lodge brother starts laughing, along with Dennis & Myself. The last time I saw Dennis,we were "ribbing " each other about "Grey Hair " ,so we were picking up where we left off. You will see the pictures soon. Second Showtime: Before I go into this part,I must say that I didn't have a Gin for Ivory, but I did have a shot of Courvoisier! I also started not to wear the suit that I had on. I started to wear my Purple Suit, but didn't. When the Review came out for show# 2,guess what they had on? PURPLE SUITS,great minds think alike! ;D They looked like they did back in the day,the crowd went crazy as they went thru their show . Aba and I looked like two kids, enjoying the show. They switched a couple of songs from the first show to the second show .They did songs that separate them from any other group that tries to do the same body of work,so to speak. The TALENT came thru when David Sea took another Ruffin song and made it his own. A Precious Love, was performed by Mr Sea in a way that I see and a couple of people that I know saw also that was just superb. He stood up on top of the SPEAKER and "went to work" on that song,I mean WORK ! David Sea TORE THE PLACE DOWN! I've never seen the song performed like that, and he didn't even put on RUFFINGLASSES! David Ruffin would have been proud . Dennis sang a song for Ivory,Don't Look Any Further, and as he started singing ,I noticed a familiar face coming toward me. It was M.C. Hammer ! He hugged me and Aba,and Dennis called him up onstage and he danced! Hammer (as in HAMMERTIME ) has not lost a step. The people went NUTS ! Each member of The Review sings lead,I mean a whole song, not just a line. I've heard it said that The Review don't dress as good as "O's" crew,or step as good. NOT !!! Nobody in B.B. Kings said that. They even sang Lady Soul, and Stay. Then someone over 6 foot 7 asked me,"Why do you say that they shouldn't sing "Stay"? I don't argue with people over 6-7,the closest I came to doing that was when I cussed out Charles Barkley, but he is 6-6! They will come with their own Review . We saw Russell Thompkins,Jr (not to be confused with Clarence Burke Jr, or Marvin Junior ;D) from the Stylistics, very nice man. After the show Dennis came to our table and we gave him and David Sea their birthday cakes. Everybody that was with me,Moms,C.C.,my Girl Donna(Mrs NYC) my sisters,K2,DSEAFAN,and my brother Aba,who went step for step with me TEMPTATIONS WALKING and Background singing, had a "Nat King Cole" kind of night (Unforgettable, that's what you are!) My brother C.C said that after meeting Aba,K2,Dseafan,and getting his picture taken with Dennis was "The Best Night Of His Life".The only thing that I can think of that could possibily have made it any better is if I were sitting with ,in addition to the people who were with me, Ivory,Sukka,Janebse,Soul Stirrer,Kim,Diva,Aka The Fuf,Cammie Cam,Nish, Laura,Melody, Jonel,SUKKA,and everybody else that belongs to this board ! ONE DAY !

As I sit here with over 20 inches of snow on the ground and more to follow, I find myself with a lot of time to think about This past weekend's festivities.
First I would like to thank Davidseafan and Kalisa for their great friendship and open hearts in allowing Mike and myself to hang out with them after never having seen us before. And I must say that I am speechless when it comes to describing the conversations I had with Kalisa about what we were going to see and what we saw. She has shown me that there are great people to be found anywhere if you look hard enough. And then's there's our brother and my new best friend, MIKENYC. It WAS just as he said, like meeting a long lost brother for the first time. It was truly a night I'll cherish forever.
Now to give my thoughts on what Mike described. I went into this not blind because I know Dennis Edwards and I have said He is my favorite Temptation, next to Melvin. I went to see this so called singer they call David Sea. I left shaking my head in amazement and gratitiiude for having the opportunity to hear him sing. I know what he does to My Girl and other David Ruffin songs he sings, but I was not prepared for the performance he gave on YOU'LL LOSE A PRECIOUS LOVE. It was fantastic! I got the chance to talk to him briefly after the show and told him what I thought of his performance and he said to me coming from a Temptation fan like me he thanked me for the compliments. And there were many.
Yes we WALKED and we WALKED and we SPUN and we SUNG our hearts out. I want to apologize to Kalisa cause I sang to her the whole show. It was that good! We ate and dranked and had a great time. I hope it is not the last time we do anything like that!
I am sorry that all of you didn't get the chance to see the show. You have to understand that whan you perfom here you bring your A game or you hear about it from the crowd. New York is the best city in the world, I don't care about the snow and I saw a pure New York City top of the line show. I am not here to compare them to Otis current line up, I'm here to say that these guys put on a show that you would not believe. I totally enjoyed the shows and would go see them in a NY minute.
It looks like I'm going to be here for a few more days in the snow visiting family and friends but it will be hard if not impossible to duplicate the emotions and feelings genrated by the people I shared this show with. YOU ALL MISSED A GREAT TIME IN THE BIG APPLE.
LISTEN........ I just got one favor to ask y'all. Could you please come up here and Help us shovel some of this freaking snow?

It feels like you're home since I can't get to the city and hang out with you but you know my heart is there. That's right Aba, Kalisa and the gang now have two-hard core Tempts followers who have gone FAR out of their way to see the Review, so they owe us at LEAST one Tempts show. It's gonna be tough though, I heard one of them say the other day that "I'm not going anywhere unless David's there." So Kalisa............ you ready to take another road trip so you can sit on big Daddy's lap? Run your fingers through Bo's hair?
