Oh come on Fuf! There's no such thing as bad Tempts' concert photos! I'm sure they'll be great!

From various Eddie made in interviews, I got the distinct impression he would not use drugs. From the Street Gold video something is said about Eddie being angry with David, and Eddie replies, "David knows why I am angry with him." Somehow the imression comes across that David has been using drugs when he'd promised Eddie he wouldn't or perhaps had missed another performance or practice.
I've found myself suspicious of what Tony Turner says. To get published today one so often has to present scandalous information, and I think Turner does. As I reread a poster's comments, I got the impression Turner was giving suppositions rather than truth. Was he in the hotel room? Had he been in a hotel room with Eddie indulging? And if Turner was there too, was he too indulging? It's the sort of half-truths that make for sensationalism.
But the situation he describes does not suggest truth. Everyone knows about secret drinkers. Anyone who goes to his room to indulge in vices does not have it under control.

I'm a Pollyanna. I just choose not to think about such things. Yep, that's me, keep 'em in their perfect little bubbles, don't break the illusion. Feel free to call me "Cleopatra, Queen of De-nial."

I saw the post about our guys hanging with Jay Leno, while I was still out of town. (and tired I might add) I didn't post then but I'm home now. Guys...the Tempts are NOT coming on the Tonight Show. FUF, what YOU heard was the announcer saying that the comedian who opened for them ie: Louis Ramey, will be appearing on the Tonight Show in the following week. I've seen him on there before so I wasn't surprised, nor did I check this week to see if he showed. I understand my friend you were in a pending state of entering Temptation Heaven, there's no telling what you may have thought you heard. Trust me, it happens to all of us from time to time.

The Tonight Show has been running reruns all this week.

Maybe he was suppose to be on one of the re-runs then. I personally don't watch the show anymore, but for three nights in a row the announcer said that guy was gonna be on there. I thought it was re-run time about now.

Ivory,
You're not a Pollyanna. After seeing the bit in the movie (which was not in the book by Otis) and reading the bit from Tony Turner, I decided there wasn't any real evidence that Eddie did drugs, and a whole lot of evidence from a number of surces that he didn't.

To Bo and Janebse, thanks for clearing up my mistake, forgive my error. Thinking it was only The Temptations the announcer was talking about, I thought I heard him say and what he said are two different things. Well you know the old saying when you assume...

AKA THE FUF,
How do people think of these clever and interesting ID names?
I can't blame you for thinking the Tempts might be on. I suspect we would all have made the same mistake in our eagerness.
Since I've never heard of that comedian, I can't understand why they don't have such famous people as The Temptations on the Jay Leno Show.
I don't watch the Leno Show, the Letterman Show, or any Talk Show, daytime or night. Female guests, as a rule, wear the most revealing outfit they can find and then act like the bimbo they look like, not a brain in their heads. Male guests, as a rule, are better. They seem more relaxed with the host, but the most interesting are always those who simply are themselves and don't try out a comedy routine.
Unfortunately, if they did have the Tempts on, they'd probably just have them sing one song and then disappear. And if it were like the Ed Sullivan Show, they'd sit them on a chair and just have them sing. I can listen to them on a CD for that experience.
I am very particular, aren't I?

Well you really have to have good seats in order to get anything decent. Where were you sitting?

Ivory, that's the bad part, I had 4th row seats. That's the closest I've ever been to a Temptation concert and that had to happen. I'm still in mornin . Now I got to catch them again just to prove to myself, I know I can, I know I can... I'll check out the pictures that came out from others. I happen to be [use to be] a good photographer.
