I was pleasantly surprised to hear them sing Rudolph and Silent Night last year at New Years. It was one of the few times I forgave celebrating the holiday AFTER the fact!

Here's yet another wonderful concert review by "Melody" from the RonTyson.com concert review board.... www.quicktopic.com/8/H/ETuhkUqAznqCWell, here I go with my part one of three of my "Can't Get Enough Excitement" Star Plaza concert last night.
The comedian that came on before the Tempts was so funny.
Being in the 7th row center was really Nice! After the "Getting Us Ready" overture the Tempts did the spellbinding "Awesome" intro. They came out in purple suits with zebra shirts. I said where's the red. I was thinking they were going to have red on like last year, but I adjusted to the color. They started the concert with "Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer". Then went into the Classics.
When the sang "Stay" about two or three couples got up and was stepping. On Treat Her Like A Lady" Barrington was really talking to the guys. LOL!!
On "Standing On The Top" the Tempts were probably already doing the "rock" like this, but last night, I noticed on the rock dance that they step in front of the mike on one side and then when they do it again, they step from the other side. Has anyone noticed that? That is so Cool. I Love that dance. They also sang "Some Enchanted Evening".
I just LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! Ron's Mcing. He is such a Pleasure to hear and so Funny. He did the James Brown slide, and then he was asking Otis to do it. LOL!! When they did the credit card part, they were using Harry's credit card, and then Ron said to Otis "Can I talk with you in private." LOL!! It was so funny, because he pulled Otis to the side as though he was speaking to him privately and ask him was he sure he wanted to use Harry's credit card, because they had just left Vegas, and Harry had a gambling problem where he did the arm movement of pulling the slot machine down on the airplanes and in his sleep. That was funny.
I don't know if I mentioned this last year during my review, but last year during my "LLTTFII" Star Plaza concert of all the concerts I've attended during the introduction of Otis, he was given the most Loving and Cheering during his introduction that I had ever heard and felt, well at last night's concert, they were giving Otis his props even before the introductions were done. It was Wonderful to see and hear and then when the introductions were done the audience gave it up for him again Big Time! Otis mentioned the Tempts will have a new cd coming out next year!!! YIPEEE!! He said it's going to be very interesting, and I can't wait. It's Wonderful to have something to look forward to.
A friend allowed me to come up to the second row!!! Alright Now. The fan "My Girl" section was very Enjoyable!! One lady did a very Jazzy "My Girl" and the band just played along with her so Nicely!! And this guy had a deep voice like Harry, and he really did it up too. The Tempts did "Can't Get Next To You" went off the stage and then came back and gave us some more with Terry starting "Girl, you're blowing my mind, cause I can't get next to you." I tell ya Terry gets down. The audience was giving Barrington his props too. What Presence BO has on the stage and off!! It really blows me away! The Tempts went off the stage again, and I saw the new dance that the other girls have been talking about. I Love the jump part. They came back out and put that BIG RED BOW on the Christmas present they were giving the fans by finishing it off with "Silent Night"!!! YES! YES! YES!!!
Thank you (((((((((((((OTIS)))))))))))))))))))))), (((((((((((RON))))))))))))))))), (((((((((((((((BARRINGTON))))))))))))))))))))))), ((((((((((((((((((((TERRY)))))))))))))), ((((((((((((((((HARRY))))))))))))))))), and ((((((((((((((((((BAND AND CREW)))))))))))))))))) for another Wonderfully Marvelous Fun concert!!!! See ya'll next month at the Caesars Indiana for my "First In 2003" concert!!! I'm really looking forward to it.

From RonTyson.com concert review board, posted by Kat.... The Cleveland show started out with a comedian at the beginning, he was a real trip.. As the lights dimmed across the stage the introduction to Awesome began to blare and the guys appeared dressed in Red suits with black silk shirts, red pants and red shoes looking spifier than ever.. They started out the night with "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer", the guys truly know how to put a twist on Christmas with their own special version of the songs.. Barrington's voice is just the most incredible thing I have ever heard, as I closed my eyes for a moment I could feel the emotion he put into each and every song he sang...WOW!!! They done many classics such as "Ain't Too Proud to Beg", "My Girl", "I wish It Would Rain" and a few others.. They were really raising the roof that night with "Raise the Roof" and had the crowd going with "The Jones" we all did a great job and Ron seemed to be having a great time with all of us with "The Jones".. They were all in great spirits that night, I hafta say Terry really captured my heart when he did "Some Enchanted Evening" he truly did make it an enchanted evening and one I will remember for a lifetime.. They decided to bring some guests up on stage to help out with "My Girl", I have to admit, the McKenzie boys were my favorite, but Stephanie did a great job also, good job Stephanie, I was dying laughing when Ron and Terry were holding out the jackets as she was doing her thing on stage.. The show went on and on and I was hoping it would never end.. Otis forgot his lines during one of the songs, what happened "O"?? The guys truly were in rare form that night.. The last set of songs they did was just incredible, As I gazed up at each and every one of their faces I noticed Harry had tears in his eyes as they sang "Silent Night", I too had tears, it was so beautiful how they sang it.. This will always be a night I will remember, thanks for the memories Temptations, you guys will always be a legend in time, best of the best.. Rock on Tempts..You are truly loved.... www.quicktopic.com/8/H/ETuhkUqAznqC

Posted by "Evelyn" on the RonTyson.com concert review board (and thanks to Jane for sharing this with us earlier this week, just putting it in the right thread ) www.quicktopic.com/8/H/ETuhkUqAznqCHow long Lord, how LONG will I continue to shower, wash dishes, cook, clean, drive AND type with my left hand!!! I can't USE the right one because that dashing Terry held it while serenading me to "Some Enchanted Evening", then planted a sweet kiss on it on FRIDAY, DECEMBER 20, 2002 at the APOLLO THEATER in New York City. OOOWEEEEEEEEE!!!! Can't stand it. And to think I wasn't going to make this concert. I had misplaced my cash card so arrived in NY with about 18 cents, couldn't do my hair that day 'cause it was raining, didn't wear what I wanted to 'cause I had to leave from work and didn't have time to really change, couldn't put on any make-up 'cause the train was so crowded, but Valencia (VALITA) and I braved a monsoon driving for 1/2 hour to catch the train to NY 'cause we KNEW that it was going to be worth it!!! And it was. I think this night our guys were at their best, looking TOO fine in lavendar suits and giving love to the audience like I have never experienced from their concerts before. But then these guys are not just a "group". The Temps are an institution, always have been and big ups to Otis for knowing how to choose the members. They are smoothness, sweetness, and talent personified. When you think of the wrong things in your life, they are an "intangible tangible" that makes those things go away and make it feel good in trying to get through another day. Like Valencia says, they make her "soul feel good all down inside."
Barrington was his usual self, giving it his all and working his way up and down the stage. I love his facial expressions when he gets into a song, almost like he has lost himself in it. And that smile. Ron, the perpetual entertainer was his usual self, hosting the guest singers and MCing, and of course, doing his leads and back-ups, then doing "Silent Night" in that sexy voice of his. I would kill (well, not really) to have a concert where he does "Tempt Me." Harry my man you are so consistent. I always know we are going to get a show from you!! Your bass in "Silent Night" makes a person dismiss the 3rd grade play where they first sang it and turns it into an event where you can feel the peace it is supposed to represent. Otis is always a pleasure to behold. My favorite Temp from childhood, I think I probably shocked him back in September when I met him sitting backstage, and just invited myself to just get on the floor on my knees and lean on his knee while conversing. (Don't woory Boo, I wasn't being fresh. That is just the way I am with people who I am comfortable around.) Otis has the smile to kill for, and we love it when he does a solo!!! But my Terryman. He has the voice that takes me out of reality and into Heaven. This brother can just sing (and he's cute, too.) I will never forget looking into his eyes Friday night and becoming 18 again (well, 30 anyway). Thanx Luv. You really made my night. I still dream of the concert where you will do "Just Like I Told You" or my all-time favorite Terry-tune, "False Faces." I guess you all can see I am into "Phoenix Rising." The music folks were on time too. Al was looking good in light grey, stepping with the Temps on one of the songs (you looking good and svelte, My Brother); Kerry was looking clean and pulled together with his clean cornrows, and Adrian, displaying that perpetual smile, was nice enough to wave back at me from the stage after the show. I love all of them. And let's be fair. The orchestra also was in tune (uh-huh) when they were asked to sing.
Well I could go on but I got a J.O.B. Gotta get paid so I can buy my next ticket. Wanna say that it was great seeing and hanging with Creamy again, and meeting and hanging out with Scandelous and Bodaceous for the first time. We had a blast!!! The fellas were good enough to say "what's up?" to Carol on the phone back in Philly after the show. Now really, isn't that just like them to be so down-to-earth and accommodating?
Looking forward to seeing you all next time!!! Terry you stay sweet. I PROMISE to wash my hand before the next concert!
Love,
evelyn
