I sort of have two concert reviews, sort of that is.
Someone in the family saw Dennis Edwards and the Temptations Review at Disney World this week. Unfortunately they didn't know enough about the Temptations to know this was not the same group I saw. I had to set them straight. They didn't elaborate on exactly where at Disney they saw them. Since they had their whole family with them, it wasn't a late night affair.
Everytime they talk to me they ask when my next Temptations concert is. They must think I am made of money and have time to spare to be traveling all over the country.
Then another member of the family asked me if I was going to see the Temptations in Pensacola at the Fair. They were there Friday night. I had to set them straight that it wasn't "my Temptations." In fact, neither they nor I know exactly who was at the Fair. They had heard it advertised on the radio as "two former leads of the Temptations." I had not heard it at all, except maybe the very tail end of an interview on TV on Friday where someone said a "Motown act" I didn't know what Motown act, where they were appearing, when they were appearing or anything. It wasn't until today that I found out this Motown act was one or two former Temptations. I went to the website but it didn't say anything more than "The Temptations."
I looked all over for a mention of exactly who was at the fair but found nothing. Maybe if I check the garbage can and old newspapers I can find something. I thought it might be Richard and Damon, but that's just a guess. I think Ali-Ollie is busy performing somewhere.
But one thing I can tell everyone for sure. There is an amazing amount of misinformation on the Internet, if not downright lies.

I know the family LOVED the Review. ;D The two former Tempts might be Damon and Glenn. Gotta watch that Internet!

It could be, but I thought Aba21 said that Glenn was now doing Gospel. And I haven't heard of Glenn hooking up with any former Tempts. However, it's hard to keep track of everyone. As I said, at the moment Ali is performing solo.
So, who does that leave? Actually it leaves a lot of people, but Richard and Damon came first to mind. Oh, I read Damon is 5'7". I knew he was short; I just didn't know how short he was. Or is this more misinformation.

LOL! @ Aba. Since Mr. Ivory knows Mr. Theo and Mr. Otis knew Mr. Melvin better than I ever will, he finds my little school girl crushes very amusing. No offense to the family, but it's a running joke that Blu's "ghost" (through which Mr. Ivory is a medium) comes back and "flirts" with me from time to time. "Why look O! Heah comes I-vry Fah, she's ah biggest fa-yun!" But he doesn't worry because he knows, just like Mrs. Aba does I'm sure, who has my heart. Jane, don't rule Glen out. I know he did a show with Damon in FLA a few months ago but whether they're still doing shows or not, I'm not sure. It's possible. As for the height thing, yep, that's more of that darned Internet misinformation. I'm not sure of his exact height, but he's up there. Definately not 5' 7".

Well, ABA21, if you want to check to see if Glenn sang at the Pensacola Interstate Fair October 25th, you could check with the Pensacola Interstate Fair officials who must have booked him. Unfortunately, when I discovered the Tempts were the Motown act appearing that date, (the day after), they had taken it off the website and were only dealing with what was happening NOW.
There must be an address for them somewhere.

It just did it again. I wonder if it is a certain letter I am typing. It's always so sudden.
Watching Michael Jordan last night I thought, "Oh, he's going to be good tonight." No way MJ is going to let last night be the definitive Mike. I'm wondering how many hours he spent practicing today. I know he tosses bad nights off simply because if you dwell on them, they'll define you. It's just one of those things that happens sometimes, and the quicker you forget it the better. So I knew his attitude would be O.K., but I also know he probably put in some hours practicing. And it showed tonight.
Oh, I got my ticket to a Michael Jordan game. I might even get to see two. You people who live near where things happen have it lucky in that regard. Not much happens here. My concerts or games require travel. One year Michael Jordan was rumored (and it was true) to be visiting a big casino near here for its grand opening, and people asked if I was going over on the chance of seeing MJ. But I didn't think it would be likely he'd be playing the nickel machines, and I knew there was no way I'd be playing anything more than one nickel. I went to a four-day convention at that casino and did not play one machine. But I did see Chinese acrobats and bought my ticket to a Temptations concert.

mj is a consummate professional. the tempts are too. you pay for both, but you get the best that ever was. you may see an off night like last night, but tonight it was on. the same goes for the tempts. i saw 3.5 tempts without a bass and no otis dancing . he also had a cold. but since then 5 tempts have been kicking butt all over.
