Why in the world does the name of the IUs appear behind the posts they make? That defies any logic

Well, it doesn`t make sense then either, if a post is made and it shows the user to be offline ....

How would you then identify the poster? "Ghost"? "Invisible"? Guest posting has been disabled on this board.
What doesn't make sense to ME is if someone choses then "invisible" function and then goes ahead and posts and expects it not to show them as the poster... that's what defies logic and reason to ME.

I don't see the point of the Invisible Poster anyway. If you don't want to be known to be here.......then come on as a guest. What purpose does this function serve for anybody other trhan an administrator?

Good question... other than being able to read in the Theater section, which is 'members only'... maybe But if you DO want to be 'invisible' but logged on for whatever reason, have it *not known* that you were/are here, why would you post?

A couple of days ago when I was online, I noticed that somebody was viewing the Theater section (it showed "1 viewing"), okay, but the strange thing is .... I was the only member who was online at that time! Now how could someone be viewing it, if guests CAN`T access there?

No idea... there are times when my name is showing as the only one here, no guests, no invisibles, but there are three "viewing" in different categories... and I'm not viewing any of them. I'd guess that function is as reliable as the outbox envelopes. (meaning... not at all reliable) Sometimes the 'information' at the bottom takes time to catch up with reality... people who show as logged in are no longer here, etc. That's all I know. Either that or some deep dark conspiracy that everybody but you is in on ... LOL! sorry, I don't know the answers. I know when I come to the board and am not logged on, the Theater section shows blank, and I can't access it. I'd guess it is that way for all 'guests'.

Again, pointless and no real good reason to wonder.
