I have finally managed ;D to find out that it is easy to post an avatar via sharemation. Now I'd like to post some 30 second sound clips of music. How do I shrink the entire uploaded document to the size of such a clip? I would of course like to post the entire song, but I fear that is not legal Help!

I`m curious to know the same thing, how to upload a song here? But other than just linking the song from a site on the Net, I don`t know how else can it be done... You can link most of the 30 second songs from Amazon or from some official or fan site, where there`s usually song-samples. To link the song from a site, click on it with right mouse-button and then choose "Copy Shortcut". After that, in your message click on this ---> and just insert the link there. And Voila!www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/clipserve/B00006314C001001/1/104-6709783-6591142

Keres. Thanks for the tips. But that's not what I mean. I would like to post clips from my own collection, songs that are already on my computer. I know how to upload them, but I don't think it's legal to post a song in its entirety (file swapping?). Or would it be okay to post the entire song? I have no idea.

Im almost positive its legal as long as the song you want topost you bought it originally.. at least thats the way it is for online DJing.. If iI were to ever get investigated.. I would have to prove that I have the original CD.. (not a copy).. your not selling that song for profit. Most of the online DJ's I know who do play alot of stuff on their shows.. they have their original store bought CDs. ( or some other means)

So tell me then too, how to upload a song here from your own computer? I think the only way is if I send something to Ivory or Jonel through the Messenger and olny someone of them can then upload it here, but not myself...Well, I don`t know..?

How did you make the song file so small? Most of the songs I have here are over 4MB, i`m afraid none of them would fit in Sharemation...I already tried once.

without having server space that you pay for on which to store the file, it's pretty much impossible.
