What is the general concensus on the IM pop up "You have 1 New Messages!"

You mean up there at the top where it says,
"Hey, Jonel, you have 0 messages, 0 are new."?

No, there is a pop-up (well, kind of a pop-up) that comes up when you have a message. I'll send you one so you'll know what I mean............

Oh cool!!!! I didn't see it at first, because I was in my AOL browser and it deflects PopUps. I like that. I like the transparency of it too. Very chic.

i like it because it helps me to remember to look up northeast to see if somebody 's contacted me!

Yeah, it does catch your eye, and since it goes away after you've checked the IM, its really not annoying

I think the pop up should be in the middle of your screen. There has been many times that I've left Aba21 waiting a little to long because I haven't noticed that I have a new message. If it's dead center, you can't miss it. Also, I think the pop up should stay on the screen untill you click it to recieve your message. If the pop up fades away like this one does, then you're kind of out of luck untill you just happen to remember to check your inbox 2 hours after the fact.  Sorry for the ramble...I'm just trying to give my input, although it's probably not needed by now. ;D |

Jay...I don't think we have any control over WHERE or how long the popup stays in effect. You don't have to "check your inbox"...it says right on top how many instant messages you have, and if/how many are NEW. Just read the top of the page occasionally...or frequently, if you are in the midst of an IM conversation with someone  . |

I'm getting better at it, but I still forget about it on occasion. This is beside the point but, this thread was made in april, but I can post in it. That's odd.
