Okay, this is a most definetly "What if........", but, what modern song would you love to hear the Temps sing? Mine would be: Eddie- I would've loved to hear him belch out the falsetto tunes to Maxwell's song "This Woman's Work"  David- Would've loved to hear him sing "Don't Change" by Musiq or even "Ordinary People"by John Legend As for the group...., I guess I would have to say (for now) "End of the Road" by Boyz II Men, just so I could hear David sing the "Oh my God, help me out a little bit bay-bee" ;D |

I'd like to hear Paul sing Ordinary People. I can't think of anything else. I guess record compnies don't want a solo falsetto these days.

Hmm, modern song. David singing "If your not the one", I think thats what it's called, can't remember for sure or who sings it at the moment but part of the song goes "I don't wanna run away but I can't take it I don't understand, if I'm not made for you then why does my heart tell me that I am? Is there anyway that I can stay in your arms? I hope I love you all my life" etc. Eddie singing that would work too. As a group though, just for kicks & giggles an NSYNC song(perferabley a ballad like "God must've spent" or "Gone". Or a Backstreet Boy song(also oerferabley a ballad like "Show me the meaning of being lonely" or their newest hit "Incomplete"). Does anyone think it would be interesting to have a guy sing the song "Take My Breath Away" which was recently redone by Jessica Simpson?! I think David would do amazing singing that song as well. =D

I can't believe no one has mentioned WHERE IS THE LOVE by the Black Eyed Peas....
smooth old school chorus, plus verses in the style of Ball of Confusion etc...
The very 1st time I heard it I thought of the Tempts

OMG, went camping this weekend, & just got back today! But while I was out on the boat this morning we had the radio on & "I don't wanna miss a thing" was on by Aerosmith & the first thing that popped in my head was the Tempts!! I know, it's not really a vocal group song but I could just see David(Leon) singing the lead for it so well & the guys adding some smooth backround vocals to it!!!! Another song that'd they'd sound good singing would be "Kiss the Girl"-yes as in the one in the Little Mermaid!! They'd actually probably sound good singing a lot of classic Disney songs/ballads =) In my opinion anyways..........

as for not seeing the Temps rapping....what about the verses in songs such as Cloud 9 and Ball of Confusion, if that ain't early rap I will run naked thru this board lol...

I need to check to see if I still have that... thats a good one!!! I dont know the other one tho... but thats nothing new for me. LOL |

Ya just gotta find that Sonia Dada song, it was released around the same time as Under the Bridge, 1992-3.
It is a song sung in the style of an old school vocal group, very sparse instrumentals, basically guitar, bass and drums...check it out, all temps fans should get a kick outta this song, it has a real old school feel.
