It's David. They have it on iTunes for a much cheaper price; do you have an iPod? It's available for a mere 9.99 there!

There's also a clip on Youtube of them performing it on Ready Steady Go! after the Miracles perform "Ooh Baby Baby".

Is it Paul or David? Didnt there used to be a site that told you who sang lead on all the songs? Do you really need a web site to tell you whose voice you're hearing on lead? They sound nothing alike. Take the time to listen and learn. no ipod...if I d/l it from there you can't burn that to a cd right? Wrong. Go to EDIT > PREFERENCES > ADVANCED > BURNING and select AUDIO CD next to "Disc Format." Songs burned to a disc won't be noticeably different from any standard commercial music CD. Windows OS labels the files with the extension .cda (CD audio). You can copy those files to your computer as is or rip them to MP3 using either existing software on your PC or readily available freeware. A great little program I use is CDex 1.51. It's a simple but powerful tool for creating high-quality and fully-editable MP3 files from your commercial CD tracks.

no ipod...if I d/l it from there you can't burn that to a cd right? Of course, I'm assuming the "there" you're referring to is iTunes. If you have the iTunes software installed on your computer and an existing account, then simply follow my instructions. If you don't, it's very easy to set up...free to download...free to install...free to personalize...free to sample. You're only charged for the music you purchase.

Well I thought you learned by asking questions but I guess I was wrong...I usually can tell then apart but on that song I wasn't sure because Davids voice sounded a little different...sorry for asking..

Well I thought you learned by asking questions... There are many ways to learn. The best way is by educating yourself instead of always looking to others for answers. Honestly... You've been a member here since September 2006 -- suggesting that you've been listening to the Temptations for at least as long -- and you still can't distinguish between their voices? Nine months...and you have to ask who's singing lead on one of the C5's big hits? I could memorize their DNA structures in that time. You have a total of 11 posts...eight of which are asking questions that have either already been answered elsewhere in this forum or could easily be resolved with a few keywords and a click of the mouse. Don't be so lazy. These were invented for a reason... + Google+ Yahoo+ AltaVistaYou can drop the attitude, as well. I'm not the one who's been asking pointless questions since I got here. There's a lot of information right under your nose if you'd just take the time (and make the effort) to look. I usually can tell then apart but on that song I wasn't sure because Davids voice sounded a little different... It's not so different that it would lead one to reasonably conclude it might be Paul. In fact, it's not different at all. It's the same voice David used on two other big hits from that era -- "Since I Lost My Baby" and "My Baby." You're welcome.

drop the attitude? all I did was ask a question for crying out loud, you are the one who came at me with guns blazing....and when I google as you told me I should I find sites like this one, so I asked...and I'm sorry if I didn't learn their dna structure..I had never heard that song before..but then again I never said i was a Temps expert...sorry my questions were pointless to you and your vast knowledge..I thought thats what boards like this were for...I didn't realize this was a "bash the guys who don't know every little thing about the Temps" board..I'm sorry for not knowing who sang it....and I'm sorry I made you look up every post I ever made to throw it in my face that I don't know as much as you...you do know how to make people feel welcome...no one asked you personally to answer my question..if others choose to they don't need you to protect them..I am on numerous message boards and if someone asks a question that has been answered I politely send them a link to their answer or I don't respond..but I sure as hell don't go after them like they just insulted my family over it...what you said was totally uncalled for..you could have just not said anything....but I guess it makes you feel good to be the expert on the Temptations..I guess if I played you a song by any band you would know who was singing it and if you couldn't find the answer anywhere I guess you wouldn't ask anyone for help...that would be foolish to think people might want to SHARE their knowledge and get people to enjoy their favorite band..all you do is make me is wonder if all Temp fans are like you..thank God I know otherwise..you make Temp fans sound arrogant, like "we don't associate with people who don't know everything about the Temptations"...stop being a snob....but I do appreciate the advice on getting the itunes..I thank you for that with all sincerity

I had never heard that song before..but then again I never said i was a Temps expert... Nine months. You don't need to be an expert...just take your fingers out of your ears when you listen. I thought thats what boards like this were for... To answer all your questions? You thought incorrectly. The idea is that you exert a little effort on your own before coming here to familiarize yourself with the music and learn something about the group...so that you can participate in discussions and have some idea of what people are talking about. You don't have to be an "expert," but -- after nine months -- you should damn well know the difference between Paul and David when you hear them. I didn't realize this was a "bash the guys who don't know every little thing about the Temps" board... It's not. If it were, I would've carpet bombed this place months ago. The "experts" -- the ones who truly made this board what it once was -- have all departed. People who came here asking stupid questions and treating the board like a chatroom helped drive them away. I resent that. I guess if I played you a song by any band you would know who was singing it and if you couldn't find the answer anywhere I guess you wouldn't ask anyone for help... Attitude. ...all you do is make me is wonder if all Temp fans are like you... No. I'm much better-looking. ...but I do appreciate the advice on getting the itunes..I thank you for that with all sincerity You're quite welcome.

Wait a second BEEJ, you still think it's Paul on "You've Really Got A Hold On Me", when it's clearly David, so you do need a website to tell you that one. Yo Beej, be nice to our fellow temptation board members, will ya.
