While you all have chosen some clearly annoying people my choice is much simpler J-lo...oh sure guys call me a "hater" .......Im tired of the love life play by play...married, divorced, dating, engaged...get to know a fella sheesh...

Kikiaj, I put her on my list, too. We're seeing eye to eye here. I also want to add: Renee Zellwegger Ashanti Vanessa Carlton (my ma says, if you can't sing live, you can't sing... she falls directly under this statement) Madonna I wonder why all of mine are females?

I agree with you on your Vanessa Carlton choice. I however can't get into the Ashanti bashing. I think that if these other folks can get out here and half sing why single out the sister. If J-Low Ho got a contract more power to Ashanti. I'm sick of Madonna too. I mean she needs to sit down somewhere and raise her youngins.

I don't like to get into bashing myself. She just annoys me. I think it's because she was pushed down my throat (which I especially don't like). How did she become Princess of Hip-Hop and R&B before she had a song of her own out?
She was in the industry a while before she linked up with Murder Inc., writing for other people and all that, so I give her those props. But folks telling me she already has a title that she hadn't yet earned and still hasn't earned (in my opinion) just don't cut it with me.
While I'm at it, even though she's not a celebrity, let me add Ashanti's mother to my list. ;D

Sister looks like she'll cut you if you say the wrong thing about her daughter. She looked really mean half the times I've seen her.

Sister looks like she'll cut you if you say the wrong thing about her daughter. She looked really mean half the times I've seen her. When Tweet was questioning or let me say wondering why her cd wasn't selling as well as Ashanti she got on one of the radio shows in New York dissing Ashanti saying that Ashanti's cd's are still in the store just like hers she sees the same amounts etc., so she was questioning the accuracy of Ashanti being platinum in 2 weeks. Ashanti's mom got crunk on that same radio program some days later telling Tweet to check the RIAA scan B&@$%* I was like WHOA! They posted some of the interview on whudat.com LOL!!! Ashanti always takes the high road though on that same show right after her mother said that she said that she has nothing against Tweet but she won't bow down to what Tweet said about her either. She said if Tweet didn't want to accept that she was already platinum that was on her.

i am annoyed at most black rappers who are dark but they only use LIGHT SKINNED straight haired women in their videos. is that a statement that dark skinned curly haired women like my wifearen't beautiful enough to put in a video? the punks themselves have broad noses and dark skin, but they seem to make a statement that lighter is better, which i don't agree with at all. if you see how beautiful gladys knight is, there's no doubt she is gorgeous, but you see a lot of ashanti's and aaliyah's out there. is that prejudice? yes! it is! use indians, use asians, use latinos, use whites, use all of the rainbow, but why segregate the dancers to be only one type? it also was interesting to see on the COSBY show that his 2 oldest daughters were near white and his son and little girl were much darker. i thought the younger two were more realistic and the older two was to win a white audience over. the jeffersons, sanford and son, good times, and the 227 show had very attractive people on their shows, but there was no hiding their lovely heritage. vanity fair says michael jackson even hates black. it is probably a lie, but you can wonder the way tv shows portray blacks. it seems that more women have to look light skinned than the men.

As a light skin sister I'm trying to figure out your point Sukkafu? I'm African American I just so happen to be fair skin. Am I less of a black person because of it? So what if they are light skin women with dark men on videos haven't you heard the saying opposites attract? My nephew is fair skin and he is attracted to dark women does that make him wrong? No of course not because he is attracted to a dark person right? And as far as The Cosby show is concerned my family is made up of fair, brown, coffee and chocolate tones skin. So I don't see your point on that.

You can see that in a lot of black families. Well okay, except mine because we all look alike. Physical traits and genes pop up when they feel like it, I guess. As for the rappers and their videos... well, I don't exactly have anything to say to that. I don't watch a lot of videos, period, and especially not rap ones ('cause I can't tell them apart from each other). I do hope that Tweet realizes that some stores do restock. Kim, did you hear about Ashanti's record company buying a lot of copies of her album so that she would sell more than Tweet?

Yes I did hear that IRLM. I think it was just a rumor. Just another thing to keep a sister down! LOL!!! ;D Tweet should have released some of the other songs on her cd instead of the "freaky" tunes she released. Tweet has a decent cd. Maybe people stayed away from her cd thinking that it was full of nothing except freak tunes.

my choice is much simpler J-loHer ex is on my latest reality addiction "I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here" and he seems like a really GOOD guy. If she did simply dog the man out and leave him for Ben like he claims, she's not the brightest star in the Hollywood sky. i thought the younger two were more realistic and the older two was to win a white audience over.
Huh? Maybe he chose them because they were good actresses? (Because they were) ........... Regardless, Bill Cosby didn't need to do anything to win over white America.

nope, bill had us back in the 60's and 70's with i spy and his variety shows. but it is a little strange let's say to have one kid with a say british accent, another one be green, another one be purple, and the other one blue. politically correct? not realistic!
how about if suzanne depasse had danny devito play otis so as not to offend midget italians with a brooklyn accent? good actor, but not the way it is.

Sukka, I'm gonna change your title to "The King of Hyperbole" ............ My high school sweetheart was as light skinned as Lisa Bonet, his older brother was the same shade as Tempest Bledsoe (Vanessa) SAME mother and father. Genetics are a crazy thing, especially when it comes to African Americans.

Come on now Sukka- you took Biology and learned about genetics. Black people in one family don't necessarily come out all the same shade. So yes, that can be very realistic. Given the fact that many of us have ancestors that may have been Caucasian, or Native American, whatever... to paraphrase Forest Gump "We're like a box of chocolates... you never know what you're gonna get"
