It was Richard Street! Just after the miniseries was released, he described his motivation for writing another account of the "real story" of the Tempts.

Because the "10 MOst Recent Posts" thingy is screwed up, when you reply through that view it creates a new thread instead adding your post to the thread you were replying to. But that's ok, we can figure out what you're talking about. |

I'm sorry, I just can't see what Richard could write,unless he tells of HIS years with the Temptations. Sometimes he seemed either bitter or uncomfortable with his role in the group. I give him credit for lasting thru some tough times with the group,and his singing style.It's sad that High School friends had to part ways like this.Richard is not one of my favorites,but he put his mark on Temptation history.He could tell how he felt during the reunion when David and Eddie might be rejoining the group and he might be out.What it was like to watch the TEMPTATIONS go into the Hall Of Fame,and he is still seated.  |

Yeah, next time we are bored and decide to start a letter-writing campaign, I'd be for trying to get Richard and Ron inducted into the HOF with the rest of the group. Anyone who can be a member of the Tempts for THAT long deserves some kind of recognition.
