Hey Sukka and Mike...Did Richard say that in an article or was that from a book or what? That's a great quote.

it was from a newpaper article i read on line in the san diego union tribune archives when the tempts were here in the 80's. it was in the entertainment section but it was an associated press article. don't remember the dates.

Hey Kalisa, hope you don't mind, but I'm gonna post that wonderful photo of Eddie that you shared with us in the photos section. If you'd rather me not let me know (or you can delete it yourself if you have that power as a moderator.)

That was a lucky guess,it sounded like something that Dennis would not have to and would not do, sounds like something that Richard WOULD have to and would do

'' one of our nonperforming sympathizers was norman whitfield, a producer who was struggling to get into the inner circle. he had been working with us since the spring of 1967 and had given us a top 40 hit with ''everybody needs love'', which was a hand me down song from the temptations, who had a minor hit with it before we did.'' who said that?

(((Ivory))) of course I don't mind you re-posting the picture. I swiped it from somebody else...yes I confess I'm a picture-swiper and have found only a few that I couldn't manage to grab one way or another. I understand website-owners objecting to LINKING to their photos (something about bandwidth??) , but I don't understand those who think they "own" the pictures (unless they took them themselves). So I grab what I can and use my own storage space to link to.
I love that picture of Eddie...BUT, can anybody tell what's with the pants? are they leopard print or what?

His pants look calico to me, it was the 70's who knows? I just bought a pair of boots that look a lot like O's pants in this picture (which is one of my favorites) temptsinfo.ourfamily.com/temptpics/otis002.jpgThere's nothing new under the sun.

I really think boots would look much better than the patchwork leather pants Otis is wearing. I bet his pants were really expensive too.
