Why is there two posts on here that doesn't have a link that I can open? It just says new and then there isn't anything to click on. I'll all confused.

There is a bug sometimes that if you start a new post, for some reason it will go into a black whole where you can't click on it. A thread I posted the other night did that and I know a thread Jonel posted one time did that. It's certainly not something I'm doing intentionally. Just another proboards "what do you want for nothin'" free board glitch.

I wondered what happened. Because, Ivory, your post was in the most recent posts thread and I started to go there and respond and when i got there---nothing. So I figured you deleted it for some reason. It was something about living in the the USA and things we are thankful for. Yours was an obvious choice, Krispy Kreme doughnuts ;D I chose the phenomena of Motown and the success that the music had...still has.

Yeah, it was a "round and round" where we'd all name things that we love about this country. I chose Krispy Kremes. By the time I'd noticed that it was gone, I was too tired to go back and fix it.

Here was my post. I suppose we could start from here if anyone wants to continue..... Y'all remember when TV was only 3 channels? Do you remember when those three channels actually SIGNED OFF each night? Remember how they showed a montage of scenes from all over the country while John Wayne's voice told about all the reasons why he was proud to be an American? www.mamarocks.com/why_i_love_her.htmWell, let's play another kind of game, a patriotic one. Everyone take turns listing why you're proud to be an American, a thing you love about this country. We'll keep taking turns listing ONE THING AT A TIME (that's the only rule ) and we'll see how long we can make the list. It can be as serious as "The Bill of Rights" or as light-hearted as "The Temptations," just whatever you feel. It's kinda corny, but I'm feeling a little corn ball at the moment. The first thing that I'm proud of in America (although not necessarily the most important) you guessed it......

Where else can you see the Statue of Liberty in the morning sun and the Golden Gate Bridge in the evening sun in the SAME DAY?

TV was only 3 channels and the SIGNED OFF? How? Was there just no TV at night? How does that work? Anyway Um, even though you can see this just about anywhere, right now I love SHOOTING STARS best!!!!!!

(Ivory puts down her knitting needle long enough to tell Dbaby a story while rocking in her rocking chair.) Wait, lemme put my teeth in first! Ok, yeah, the channels singed off at night. You'd get this rainbow of bars and a loud "BLEEEEEEEP" at about 2 or 3am and that would stay on until around 5 or 6 I guess. Before your time. Another great thing about America.......... 200 channels and not a SINGLE thing on any of them!!!!

Jonel fixes Ivory a glass of warm milk and a saucer of Krispy Kremes. "Yeah, Dbaby, it was called a test pattern. See www.meldrum.co.uk/mhp/testcard/around_world.html The stations in our area, would play, The Star Spangled Banner" and there would be a flag waving, and then the test pattern.

Oh my gosh! So yesterday was homecoming and after the dance and stuff, some people came over to my house to watch Bio-Dome and it was about 2 in the morning and the TV had this screen on that was different colors and it had the name of the station, so it was like one of those bar thingies. It was SO COOL!
