Sukkafu- I dont know what the rule is on the West Coast but out here the ASA,NSA,USSSA and ISA have banned the MIKEN bat for most league play. In senior ball they let A class, Major and Super Major use them. Major and super major is all about hitting Home Runs. I,ve played in super major games that 25 Home Runs were hit . These new bats have changed the game and made it dangerous for pitchers and lower class ( c,d,e,church and co-ed) ball players. There was two pitchers killed last year by line drives up the middle. A pitcher cant react in time to avoid getting hit. I,ve seen balls hit over 400 feet and if you know anything about softball 400 feet is a long way. My feeling is they should ban all double wall bats at the lower levels and let the big boys swing away with the new suped up bats. Last year in Europe i felt sorry for the European teams we played. They were using single wall bats and 44 core balls and here we were the best softball players in the world using suped up $ 400 double wall bats and 50 core balls and scoring 30 to 40 runs a game. I should be getting my sechedule for the year soon and hope to be on the west coast a couple of times.

shouldn't it be a level playing field for both teams? if you guys have the titanium bats, shouldn't the other team have them too or both have the single wall?
400 feet is crazy for softball!

Ken-Du....you're right...I can't imagine a ball going four hundred feet unless it was hit by somebody at least my size. A few years ago I hit a line drive off a pitcher's head in a modified league and he was pretty badly hurt....ambulance...hospital...the whole nine yards. It is really scary!

you will love seeing ken du at work. a super man who wins home run hitting contests and almost gets on base every single time at the plate. he does the ny shuffle at the plate which gives him extra oomph in the batter's box. not only a good hitter, but a really super man in every respect.

ABA21- IN 2000 i won the National Home Run Hitting Contest held in Panama City FL. You got 8 pitches and had to swing a seven. The first round i hit 5 out of seven and in the championship round i went 6 for 10. At 6,1 190 i was the smallest guy in the contest but my average HR using a 28oz double wall Worth EST was 345 feet . I have been first team all world (four times), first team all American ( five times) and have won a starting spot on the International all star team three years in a row. This year i,ll be using the new Miken II and i am told by Miken that it should add 50 feet to my swing. As of now i am five points away from the Hall Of Fame. My life long gold ITS NOT HOW FAR YOU HIT THEM, ITS HOW OFTEN YOU HIT THEM FAR.

I love it Ken-Du. I love softball of any kind. You may be five points away in their mind from HOF but you're all ready HOF here, my man! Let me know and the big truck will glide to plano and see that big swing of yours.
