TEMPTATIONS APPEAR ON NEW BISHOP JOE SIMON CD

Bishop Joe Simon has just released a new CD titled "A Time For Change" with The Temptations guesting on two tracks. Originally recorded in 2003 the album is finally seeing release on the Parliament Entertainment Records label.

Bishop Joe Simon is a Grammy winner and R&B Legend who 16 years ago gave it all up for the ministry and is world wide known as the Evangelist Ambassador.

The set opens with a catchy spiritual mover called "A Time To Change", where Joe is accompanied by none other than the Temptations (Otis Williams, Ron Tyson, Barrington Scott Henderson, Harry McGilberry Jr. and Terry Weeks.)

”With the Temptations we’ve been friends for many years, when I was singing rhythm & blues. We were all on tours during those years, and we remained friends." said Simon "So I contacted them and thought it would be very nice, if they would sing background for me on my CD, because I have a song that I thought at that time really would fit their life. We agreed to get together and we worked out the plans and the details and we went to the studio in California, and that’s where we recorded Time To Change.”

The other track featuring the Temptations, "It’s On World Order It’s Strong", is built on an early 80s disco beat and Joe’s son, Joshua Simon, has a small rap part in the middle. ”We didn’t really want to have that modern rap sound, or we wanted to use it in a nice way, so Mr. Snell came up with the idea that we should do it in this form. Joshua is fourteen years old. He is a keyboard player and he’s studying music.”

Added Simon, "I believe the Motown Temptations are the best R&B and Pop singing group in the history of music. It is an honor for me, Bishop Joe Simon, to have my personal friends to sing background on my CD. Listen to the singing and the story they tell through their beautiful voices. Hi everyone I'm new to this web site. Its always great hear about the new endeavors( Joe Simon CD) The Temptations are doing even if it's oringinally done in 2003 so it should have Our late Temptation Brother "Harry Berry" on it God Bless his soul!!! I'll go out and look for it online. Thanks for this update!!!
