Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Michigan Holds Bash Marking 100 Years of Doing Business in Detroit, July 15, 12 p.m

DETROIT, Jul 10, 2002 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Michigan commemorates 100 years of doing business in Detroit with a Centennial Celebration, Monday, July 15, at 12:00 p.m. in Hart Plaza.
Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick joins several community and political leaders, as well as representatives from Coca-Cola to kick-off the summer-long celebration.
Vanilla Coke, Coca-Cola's new flavor, and cake will be served to more than 1,000 people expected to participate in the Hart Plaza event.
Other Centennial festivities scheduled for the summer include a concert by Motown's legendary R&B group, The Temptations; a Wednesday Night Jazz Series at Chene Park; a youth golf clinic to be held at Belle Isle, featuring PGA legend Lee Elder; and the "World of Coca-Cola Tour" exhibition.
