Smokey Robinson to get another award next month By Detroit News staff reports and wire services Motown legend Smokey Robinson will receive the International Achievement Award at the 17th annual Governor's Awards for Arts & Culture, to be held Nov. 19 at the Ford Community Performing Arts Center in Dearborn. The event will act as a fund-raiser for ArtServe Michigan, an advocacy group for the arts. Past winners of the International Achievement Award include Lily Tomlin, James Earl Jones, Elmore Leonard and Lawrence Kasdan. Robinson, 62, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987 and entered the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1990. www.detnews.com/2002/entertainment/0210/04/c01-603809.htm
