Temptations live at the “Upper Deck” 1967
This is the quintessential live album that defined who the Tempts were. Listening to this album puts fond memories in my mind; I have stated in previous post that I had the pleasure of seeing them at the Apollo around the same time-frame. You can hear the “Motown” machine at work in the selections that were sung. They melodied through “classic” Tempts tunes and then switched to what was at that time “standard” songs. Such as What Now My Love, the Beatles “Yesterday”, “I wish you love”. Of course, done with a soulful feel to make the classics their own and to make an audience that may have, or may not have been familiar with these songs enjoy them. Bottom line, this is how I’m waiting for the new year to begin….forever a classic five Tempt fan.
Happy New Year!!!

I also had the pleasure of seeing them at the Apollo during that time and went to as many of their concerts as I could when they came to New York.

I actually had this LP first. I got it from someone in Germany. I just happen to be browsing one day in a music store and saw the CD..Bought it too a while ago. The CD has more talking from the "host" of the show, the LP starts out with "The upper deck is proud to present the temptations" One of the greatest albums

I have since ripped and put it in my MP3 files. I can't say enough about how good this album is.
