I tried to post in the original TONY TURNER INTERVIEW thread but it was no longer active. My feelings are that Tony Turners book is cattish and gossipy, that was also my feelings about his interview on the Joan Rivers Show when he was promoting his book. When Joan Rivers asked why he wrote the book he said he wanted people to know why many of Motown artist ended up with no money. That doesn't seem to be the intent of his book in my opinion. Also, he seemed to exagerate in some of his comments and Dennis Edwards ccorrected him right away on that show.

The fact that Daddy Gaye was a cross-dresser and Preacher was part of the problem for Marvin. Because hi father didn't live anything like what he preached, mess with hsi sons head. Can't imagine it not. I have to get the book from my co-worker again, he knew I was a Tempt fan, and let me hold the book before he took it on his trip. I can't for the life of me remember the name of the book. That was 3 years ago. I do remember that point.

I can understand your feelings about Tony's book. I look at Otis' book in the same manner.
