I don't really like this version. The background music is to much for this song. I liked the original better, the arrangement was smooth which made the song more believeable. Marvin did a good job singing it, but the background music kinda drowns him out. Also, David really brought the original to life, and put the mark so high that no one can touch it.

Marvin had a wonderful voice...but this song is not my favorite of his songs. Everyone knows I like...get up and dance with me...Heard It Through The Grapevine!! ...not much longer would you be mine...

I LOVE Marvin doing Wish It Would Rain!
I also loved Marvin's Grapevine - but, dare I say it, I can't stand the Temps doing Grapevine - in most cases Motowners covering other Motowners hits didn't work, IMO, except for Motown making more $ thru charging each act for the songs and studio time over and over and over... Especially when the Supremes and Temps did I'm Losing You together - Diana killed that song (not in a good way)

Yeah - I got the Losing You bit on an ebay compilation tape, not sure if that's on there too...I only remember Losing You because it was soooo terrible (until Ruffy took over that is!) I'll have another look and see if I got all the others too

Hey man that would be awesome if u could find it!
Thanks Davidfan!
I just got a CD of the Live at London's Talk of The Town LP, it's a great listen, a guy put his LP onto CD for me, and I was surprised at the quality...after all these years there are hardly any hisses or pops on it.
