hey guys- you are very entitled to your views and welcome to express them. if you want to learn something about the tempts and also the former tempts, you might want to pay a little attention to mikenyc- he's only KNOWN dennis for over 30 yrs! he's known eddie and david from the 60's to their deaths.

I don't care what anyone says,The Temptations is Otis Group...he created it and as long as he's in the group there will only be ONE Temptations,the review is the imposters...they're taking credit for what The Temptations have done...it makes no sense creating a group with the name temptations in it and singing all their songs...do your own thing,start calling yourselfs the review instead of the temptations review and make your own music!!!....GO OTIS!!!! people still loves the REAL Temptations,why the hell do you think that 1998's phoenix rising sold 2 million copies,or that 2000's Ear-resistable won a grammy,or that 2001's Awesome was nominated for a grammy??..beacause they are doing what they have been doing for 40 years..GOOD music!! right now i'm sittin' and listening to Ear-resistable and it ROCKS!!!

DENNIS IS a HALL OF FAME member of the Temptations and anytime will wipe the stage CLEAN with O's boys ! That's the facts of life! And it's a damn shame that someone who you say isn't a Temptation sings it better than the people that you want to recoginze as The Temptations! Now,riddle me this,BATMAN,since you say that Dennis,and the Review aren't recording for Motown,are you also saying that the Temptations that recorded for Atlantic records weren't The Temptations ?  The majority of the people come to see? What kinda crap is that ? Nonsense to me! Official IMPOSTERS is what you mean! How can you copy something that you made famous? And by singing,not just hanging out! Who's copying who when they sing Papa Was A Rolling Stone?,Cloud Nine, Runaway Child? Tell me WHO ? Wow chill Mikey  I didn't mean for it to come across that way. I was simply stating that TODAY otis's group are still recording for Motown. Were as Denni's group aren't recording on motown I wasn't saying anything about anything else just that Otis's boys are still releasing new albums on motown. When I say the Majority I mean the uneducated who enjoy the temptations songs but haven't a clue about the line up and just want to hear the music and see the show. If you had a chocie on THE TEMPTATIONS or THE TEMPTATIONS REVIEW FEAT DENNIS EDWARDS and you didn't know the line up's of either and didn't know the history then you would pick THE TEMPTATIONS as oppose to the review because the review seems to be impersonators we know Dennis isn't but not everyone knows the amount we know or for that matter knows any temps history. I didn't mention anything about Dennis copying songs. I wouldn't dot hat cos id be very stupid if I did. We know damn well he first recorded those songs and has a right to sing them I wasn't complaing about dennis mearley stating my point of view Mike. I think Gary was the one reffering to Dennis's group copying the temps. I for one wanna know when the review are coming to ENGLAND AGAIN do you know?? So I hope that clears it up Mike I wasn't having a dig at Dennis or Otis mearley putting two points of view across my friend. So please don't get annoyed with me ;D |

dennis edwards is not a fake. he is a real temptation. he had more grammy awards as a temptation than eddie paul or david. he sings lead on songs that all won grammys. david never did.otis never did! the review never pretend to be temptations. they are billed as dennis edwards and the temptations review. they are a tribute to the legendary temptations. you can sit there in sweden and name yourself after a convicted felon, a dwarf that publicly stated that when his co star dana plato died, it was a welcome closure to the different strokes show? a man that punched a woman out for an autograph? if you would like the official info on your namesake, check out www.imdb.com and look up gary coleman. you can sit there in scandinavia, the capital of the temptations of course, and at age 16 make all these silly childish statements for shock value? how many concerts did you attend so far? how many review concerts did you attend? respect your elders! the ones like mikey that know them personally! take up a worthwhile cause- don't talk from ignorance. nobody has a problem with you having a different opinion. just remember if you talk foolish talk just to rile people up, you're gonna get blasted, bjorn!  |

Note to everyone: Can we PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! dispense with this  about whether or not someone sang lead!!!! Did the Grammy folks give Dennis an EXTRA award for singing lead? Did they give him a BIGGER award for singing lead? No. Does anyone have any albums that say "David Ruffin and the Temptations"? No, not even Aba. You know why? 'Cause who sang lead doesn't mean *&%)(! ........... This is an emphasis that y'all are making up. The Tempts NEVER gave extra attention to lead singers, that's why they were always mentioning that that EVERYONE "sang lead" when we all know only two guys did half the time. You wanna know WHY they did that? Because they did not want to emphasize a "lead" singer!!!!! how many concerts did you attend so far?Oh kettle ................. who you callin' a pot! don't talk from ignorance. I keep saying back in the day when i saw them no body was going to the Temptations to see any one individual. You may have liked one more than the other but you went to see the group. Bottom line. And you're right on the second point in that only two people sang most of the songs then anyway. It is for the very reason that what goes on on this board now about who can sing, and who sang what, who didn't sing, who can't sing, won't sing, didn't sing and any other reason we seem to come up with around here, that they didn't recognize any of the leads out front. |

And guess what? Guess who's non-lead-singing bald-headed behind is up there smiling on stage every night and going to the bank every morning! Yep. This dude -----> ;D When I go to see the Four Tops I go to see ONE guy (and I DO mena SEE!!!) but when I see the Tempts (or even the Review or the Damonettes or whomever) I go to see whichever particular assemblage is up there at the moment. As long as they sound good and their socks match!  That's the beauty of being a Tempts fan. It's like Tupperware lids ............ they're interchangeable. Well, maybe that's a bad example.

IVORY - i got your tupperware party right here! you forgot to let the air out!go soak your head in rotelli pasta- oops you already did! i was alive and watched the temptations the supremes marvin gaye the miracles and james brown on ed sullivan and hullabaloo and shindig and - oops you weren't even alive! i forgot! when you were in diapers i was in hollywood pressing wax and walking into the motown building meeting iris gordy!rememeber haze's line in the movie-show respect!like i show you! behave child! ABA- don't be a groupie! if dennis was left alone and had to put on a show without music and backup- he could captivate an audience for hours- just with the songs he sang ! otis could frustrate an audience in 4 minutes singing darling stand by me! the fire marshall would be trampled at the exits! it's not about the leads or the group- it's about a seedling trying to tell the tree how to grow! i learned a lot from mikey and you and even ivory too! these kiddies need to formulate the opinions based on facts and sound judgement! next thing these kids will tell you is that the holocaust was made up by jews as a conspiracy! |
