The Temptations map out 2003 tour plans

The Temptations will spend the rest of the year on the road for a series of headlining dates and a summer outing with fellow R&B/soul legends the O'Jays, the Four Tops and the Whispers.

Following a handful of headlining engagements, the Temptations hook up with the O'Jays, Four Tops and the Whispers for a joint outing that kicks off on July 11 and runs through mid-August.
The Temptations and the Four Tops then head to Europe for a co-headlining run before the Temptations return to the states for more dates that stretch through the end of the year.
Formed in 1960, the Temptations have undergone numerous personnel changes over the years. The group's current lineup features sole original member Otis Williams along with longtime member Ron Tyson (1983-present). Late-'90s additions Harry McGillberry, Terry Weeks and Barrington Henderson round out the vocal quintet.
"Awesome," the Temptations most-recent studio release, surfaced in 2001. It followed 2000's GRAMMY®-winning "Ear-Resistable."
Though they have maintained a successful recording and touring career over the past 40-plus years, the Temptations remain best known for their '60s- and early-'70s-era hits such as "Papa Was a Rolling Stone," "My Girl" and "Just My Imagination (Running Away with Me)."
Earlier this week, the Temptations appeared on "Oprah," where they were part of a surprise wish-granting special; a longtime Temptations fan received a surprise performance and was also invited to perform a song with the group.
