They should get New Edition to play the Tempts! Why B2K? No respect! They could have asked BoyzII Men,not that they are much better than B2K! Thank GOD they didn't get the mini-series actors for this one!

i was listening to that cd you sent to me , in a mellow mood, and i'm not kidding- CHRISTIAN PAYTON did a great job on for once in my life when he did the drunk scene in the miniseries, he was note for note almost dead on in a paul imitation. no, he's not paul, never will be, but i heard the resemblance!

Put my vote in there also. He sure did sound like Paul on that one.

since i had heard christian do it first, hearing paul sing it made me appreciate paul's version more, and ultimately christian payton' s as well.

Hearing him do it live at the Copa as well as on TCB can give you a chill just listening to him sing. Christain did a fine job with it. My only thing was knowing how much the song meant to Paul they should have shown him(Christain) singing the song in a concert instead of a drunken stupor. Paul deserved that I think. There was never a time I heard him sing that song that he didn't get a huge ovation as well as I Gotta Be Me.

I agree, kalisa. I think he did a great job on Stay, too. I know it wasn't a Temptations song, but y'all can humor me, right? Oh, and Shout was good, too. ;D I just like to see the man dancing.

of all the actor singers on the miniseries, christian payton did the best job i think, and looked the most like the part, although leon did a great david, but he didn't sing like christian did.
paul did deserve a lot better scene than that sorry one.
stay and shout were excellent, southern niece!

IVORY-HOW COULD YOU FORGET O-TOWN??? how about we get snoop dogg with nate dogg and warren g ? or we could get bell biv devoe. maybe we could get 112 . brian mcknight could play dennis and queen latifah could be aretha! public enemy could be the tempts- chuck d could be david, flav a flav could be eddie.... Now Sukka you went too far(just playing) "Don't nobody say nothin' bad about BBD" ;D Flava Flav as Eddie... thats 7-) he wishes... please don't make me ...how could you offend my man like that...Eddie would do a somersault in his grave.... ...Now when MIKENYC suggested New Edition he was on to something ;D. The Bruthas' can move I just checked them out last July and they haven't lost a step...as for anyone resembling the C5 well uh.....NO but the talent is there...

I think Terron Brooks singing was also beautiful in the miniseries... 2-) he was wonderful. He and Christian did a great Job... I did tell you guys thats how I found this page..through the miniseries-a-holics link... I read in the production notes(as Im sure some of you did) that Terron did an audition for Diana Ross one time and he brought her to tears... I can just imagine what a beautiful moment that was... Oh but back to the thread B2K as the Tempts 7-)

Well, I have to admit, IRLM, Christian's dancing on "I'm Losing You," you know....the silver tuxes.... I was mesmerized. Yikes. But I was *more* mesmerized when I saw Paul doing the same dancing in the Ed Sullivan footage of "I'm Losing You." Paul was smoother, but Christian was sooooo close. Peach

that's what impressed me-you know that for the most part, even though there are so many fictitious parts to the miniseries, suzanne de passe sure did get some good actor-singer -dancers for the parts. most everybody like leon as ruff, as well as terron did a very outstanding eddie, and db did a credible blu, and charles did a fair otis, but christian was almost a paul clone!
