GETS 2 GRAMMY NOMINATION

Motown's new sub-label Hip-O/ Motown has taken on some of Motown's greatest session players with a project that has emotional strings tied all in it. The new docufilm "Standing In The Shadows Of Motown" has won a series of critic awards nationally, and internationally, and stand a chance of winning more as it racks up credits. The Docufilm depicts the life as a musican session player for Motown Records, back in the 60's & 70's; as told by the musician's the recorded most of the Motown hits. Though the movie is getting most of it's play in small theaters around the country, it has proven the point that "If a movie is good, it CAN get big recognized."
SITSOM ("Standing In The Shadows Of Motown") has also gotten the nod from America's most prestigious music organization the Grammys!! Two to be exact, and the Motown musician's aka ...The Funk Brothers couldn't be happier to be back on the Motown Train!
Most of the Funk Brothers (Motown musicians) have not been on a Motown label for well into 30 years! For this time and moment, Motown has kicked into gear with a little old school magic. This doesn't mean that the creator of "Neo-Soul" Kedar Massenberg (president of Motown) has lost touch with today's Hip Hop/ Neo Soul scene by any means; with artist such as Erycka Badu, India.Arie, Brian McKnight, Remy Shand, The Temptations, and AZ all in the forefront of grammy nominations this year, Kedarism is alive and well!
The MOTOWN ALUMNI ASSOCIATION would like to congratulate the FUNK BROTHERS, and the producer of the movie SITSOM Allen Slutsky for a job well done.

That's a tough category I love "Lady" but "Any Day Now" and "Put It On Paper" are great songs too.
