Well, they're stuck in between a rock and a hard place. They can't get any attention from radio because radio sees them as an oldies group. The can't get past the oldies group thing because that's what pays the bills. And while I'm thinking about it, why are the Isley Brothers getting all the good songs lately! Tell me the Tempts couldn't tear up that latest song of theirs! "What Would You Do...." The Isleys have their original lead singer that's why their on the radio! They still sound like the Isleys ,there is no revolving door. Hey staying original worked for the Beatles! ;D

The Isleys have their original lead singer that's why their on the radio! They still sound like the Isleys ,there is no revolving door. Hey staying original worked for the Beatles! ;D That should be what works for the Tempts. You see they are an institution like the New York Philharmonic or the Metropolian Opera. American Institutions. They should take that to the bank. People should want to hear what the new song from this institutions should be. There is an englich group called the King's Singer's, who have had as many members as the Tempts and there is a group her Called Chanticleer, which is only 20 years old and they have had as much turn over too. They are both still popular. The tempts should build it like that. They are legitimized, because of thier turn over, always having the best of the best.

The Beatles are an institution also. You can't get any better than the HOF6.

The Beatles are an institution also. You can't get any better than the HOF6. The beatles are good, but not like the tempts. The tempts are like the oalkand raiders or any great football team. They are still here. The franchise lives on.

The Isley Brothers have had personnel changes over the years. At one time their brother in law was singing with them. Ernie along with Chris and his other brother (I can't recall his first name) formed their own group Isley Jasper Isley. And The Isley brothers only had two members in the 80's and struggled to get airplay like their brothers group was receiving at the time. The only reason why Ron is being played on the radio today is because the King of R&B produces most of his material and helped him create the whole "Mr. Biggs" image. Anything that R Kelly produces turns to gold just ask....B2K, Syleena Johnson, Ginuwine, Nivea and all the other acts that he produces. Quite frankly the only songs byThe Isley Brothers that have become hits in the last 4 years were the ones that R. Kelly sang on. The other releases minus Kelly went nowhere. I mean let's be honest I don't want to hear old Ron asking me "to move my body" for him.....YUK!!!!
I guess maybe The Temptations and Gladys Knight should ask R to produce and sing on their next singles maybe they will get airplay. Maybe Gladys can be R's mother in his videos.

Ronald Isley is the Voice of The Isley Bros. Kim,I don't think Gladys wants anything to do with R.Kelley's videos! Anything R.Kelley touches turns to gold,I'm glad he don't sing "I Wish It Would Rain",,he would turn the rain into gold like that girl did to him in that video !

So when's R.Kelly and "Mr.Biggs" gonna stop messin' with the same woman? Not really, but the whole act they put on in all these songs they've made together is starting to get old. Yet and still, they have another one on Kelly's new album. My friend has it and was listening to it at her house

Uhhh Mike am I understanding that you actually SAW the R. Kelly porn video? I was not talking about porn videos I was speaking about the music videos that they are showing on BET now of R. and Ron Isley. Ron is currently in a B2K video aka "Mr. Biggs" and the new video that he and Ernie are in along with R. Kelly. And Sukka since Gladys got no airplay with her last cd (which is a shame because it is a fantastic cd) I was suggesting that she hook up with R because almost all of the top songs that are getting airplay on the radio has been produced by R. When Michael Jackson needed a hit after the whole child molestation charges R. Kelly wrote and produced "You Are Not Alone" for Michael and it was a huge hit. Earthangel from what Ron and Robert said on BET Access they are supposed to have a showdown in a movie/video that is supposed to end the rivalry between them.
