I'm On Fire! That's a Glenn Leonard Classic,so is "Silent Night". I hope he didn't sing that one without Dennis because Woodson messes it up tryin' to be Dennis ! Why he picked Woodson to sing him is a mystery to me !  |

I don't know about Ivory,Aba! Does she know who Marvin Junior is ? Clarence Burke Jr. ? Leroy Burgess? See that's why I'm not so sure ! ;D

"Marvin Jr.": Born Marvin Pentz Gay, Jr. in 1939 (Motown would later add an "e" to the end of his last name.) Some of his best-know solo songs include "Try It Baby", "How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)" "What's Goin' On" and the legendary "Let's Get it On," (a song that many of my generation were conceived to, btw.) ......... Shot and killed by his father in 1984, the day before his 45th birthday. Clarence Burke, Jr.: Lead singer for the group the 5 Stairsteps a group often compared to the Jackson 5. Like the Jackson's the group started out as a family affair and were based out of Chicago. After being discovered by Curtis Mayfield, they went on to produce such hits as "You Waited Too Long" and "Danger! She's a Stranger." But their biggest hit was probably "O-o-h Child." Leroy Burgess: Founder of the group, "Black Ivory" and pioneer of what is commonly know as "Boogie." One of his greatest albums was "Logg" which included the popular songs "You've Got That Something" and "Dancing Into the Stars." Incidentally, NONE of these gentelmen were ever a member of the Temptations. |

And that was so smart of you to recognize that none of them sang with the Temptations.
Another little tidbit: Remember when we said Temps or Tempts? On all the autographs I have from any Temptation member says:
To My Friend, So and So, the TEMPS! So I hope I cleared that up! Does somebody know different?

Now that may have not been the Marvin that Mike had in mind, but if that's the case, he should have been more 'pacific ............ sweetie.  Another little tidbit: Remember when we said Temps or Tempts? Well, yeah everything I've ever seen where Otis or any of them signed anything it said, "Temps" but being the kind of gal who doesn't need Otis guidance in making my decisions *I* prefer to spell it "Tempts." Like I've said before, "Temps" is just like when you work as a "temp" you're just filling in temporarily. "Tempt," on the other hand sounds/looks like the noun form of "to tempt" and is, therefore, more appropriate. Now if Otis and the gang wanna go around singing their names like they're all temporary, let them go right ahead.  Anyway, what made you think of that? Did you have to get out a photo of the Tempts so you could make sure that Marvin, Clarence and Leroy weren't in the group (ha ha.) ;D

Now lookahere dahlin'. I'm on your side. But to answer your question I was sitting here on my daughter's computer and she has her picture of the fellows autographed when they were here last year on her bulletin board and they all signed TEMPS!!!! Now you just can't be going around changin' stuff to suit you just cause you the boss of this here board.!!!!! And do you have any records, cds or anything with Marvin Gaye, Jr on them?  |

Well, my compromise is that the HOF6 are the TEMP TS and in all seriousness everybody else is the Temps including Otis after that because that's what he calls himself and he invented the 'revolving Temps door' .YES....it is revealed....Otis is to blame for EVERYthing! ;D Plese note my tongue is firmly in my cheek. ;D TEMPTS!![/size] |

I mean, there's lots more important things to talk about, like ............ how fine Theo is! ;D Now you just can't be going around changin' stuff to suit you just cause you the boss of this here board.Oh yes I can! *I* pay to run my web site and, occasionally, this board. Subsequently, MY opinion is a little more important HERE than the Tempts. Now if O wants to scroll down to the bottom of the page and make a donation and pay for us to have some ad-free page views, or if he wants to sponsor the TemptsInfo.com site, then I MIGHT consider his opinion on the matter. ;-) And do you have any records, cds or anything with Marvin Gaye, Jr on them? Of course not. Like I said, they're NOT the Temptations.
