The trouble I got into over the defending David and bashing Otis thing I'll stick to the day I die. As bad as it was, I wouldn't be surprised if he knew about it. So, as much to my  I think if Otis knew who I was when I met him, I wouldn't have kept getting the "Take me after the show" winks. :laughing Oh, gosh I feel my lunch coming! |

I just can't believe that people like Ivory and Ed should walk about, approaching others completely neutral. Oh I'm not completely neutral .............. what I thinks and what I posts is two totally different things. I was raised in the "if you don't have anything nice to say," school. If I ever DO say anything negative about these guys (and trust me, I do) it's because of personal experiences I've had with them and TO people who have shared simmilar experiences. gosh ........... that really came off as a "know it all" and that's not what I meant ............. but no, I'm not in the habit of making character assesments on people whom I've never actually met. That's how I like to be treated and so that's how I treat other people. (and I"m not saying that's what Tara was doing, I was just asking a question.) |

........... and I would add, I don't think it's wrong to ASSUME positive things about people, but I think it's way out of line to ASSUME negative things about people.
I know that's screwy, but that's just how it is.

so since then I try to be more careful with what I say. Make sense? Well, yes and no. (And what I'm about to say may sound like I'm picking on you and that's not my intention, you just struke a nerve.) These guys too often get special or deferential treatment. That is ridiculous. I used to always get "in trouble" saying positive things about one of the Tempts because it sounded "disloyal" to another Tempt.  I've seen people ask me to do thus and so on the site or here on the board because "so and so wants it that way." Well, last time I checked, I didn't work for anybody who had "Temptation" in their name nor were any of them, with the possible exception of Otis ;D my Daddy. So yeah, entirely too much defereance be given. Respect is one thing, but these guys are not demi-gods. They're entertainers. If they aren't happy with something I do or say, they can get over it. I think we all need to stop playing ourselves and do the same thing. .......... and again, that's not directed to anyone in particular. I'm just venting. |

I'm pretty sure David's not gonna care what you say about him at this point. David told me to tell you that he does care!  RIP David  I heard a theory once that peoples' souls are electrical in nature and since the wide spread use of the interent, the souls are inside the net and perhaps on this board.
