no, i wasn't directing that to you specifically kalisa. i was just wondering with the incredibly deep wealth of tempts knowledge on this board, with folks knowing how many revolutions a record or cd makes before the live my girl was done, i figured somebody knew something about the g.i.t. and tcb tapes as well as they already knew street gold.  kalisa, i am sincere in appreciation of your fine assistance.  |

Beauty's Only Skin Deep ! But Ugly's To The Bone ! That's why we have to be carefull about who we share things with.When someone shares a cd,vhs tape with you ,you don't know how THEY got it. Could have been a gift that few people have. Let's say that Aba sent me a vhs that Ron sent him. Aba sent this to me because he feels that I have the same love for the Tempts as he does,and will do the right thing with it . Aba never laid eyes on me,doesn't really even know me and is NICE enough to SHARE with me. I can't be rotten and send it to Kalisa,Ivory,Jane and Sukka without even asking Aba if it's ok! One of them may have a different agenda and mass produce the cd/vhs tape for profit . Now Aba has a problem the next time he sees Ron because Ron saw what he shared with Aba out on the street being sold and is hurt because he trusted Aba as a friend,not a "groupie" and is betrayed ! There are people on this board who don't know what Louis Price sounds like,or what songs did Glenn Leonard sing. You can get help with that,a tape of Ruffin, Kendrick & Edwards performing etc. Do you know how LUCKY you are to have someone SHARE something like that with you ? I am willing to SHARE anything that I have on the Tempts,including "Soul newspapers" (Ivory) just don't SELL ME OUT ! Just like you can ask me for whatever it is that you want,you can ask me if you can share what you got from me with someone else,or that person can ask me themselves ! What's so hard about that ? Do you know that this is "The Greatest Temptation Board Of All Times" as Muhammad Ali once said ? Well trust me it is ,just like he said ! This board can help people who have never seen the C 5, or HOF 6 before learn what they were all about ! I don't want to see that stopped ! The younger posters( I hate using that word YOUNGER and don't mean any disrespect) make me want to help them get it RIGHT, I am glad that they are as interested in the Temptations,ALL of them, and will help them,not brainwash them to form their own opinion on the group . That's the reason that I share. That's the reason people share with me . I'm not going to missuse it,don't missuse me ! Each one,Teach one ! And RESPECT ONE ANOTHER ! You will get more out of this board than money can buy ! You would have to pay an "Arm and a Leg" to get what you can get on this board with a little bit of respect ! THINK ABOUT IT !  |

Not to beat a dead horse but some of what Mike is talking about must have happened here before I came on board. I have to tell you that I have been saying for some time that the man spain has all these videos that we are looking for in his possesion. I was wondering why no one seconded me when I mentioned his name. I have recently found out how he came to get alot of the things he has and now I will not purchase anything from him no matter how bad I want it.
I have posted many times on this board what I think of the people here. When new folks join and show that have the same interest and passion that I do, I would do anything for them. I consider myself a lucky man to have seen what I have in my life and it's my responsibility to share my knowledge with those who want to know.
I want this board to be something we can always be proud of. I have already made some friendships here that I will always treasure. Seek and ye shall find. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But remember that someone trusted you to give you what you wanted and needed so keep that in mind when you receive wonderful gifts from those who care. It's all about respect!

mike, aba, i 100% agree with you on those 2 threads. i have been married to elise for 19 yrs this may and we are MONOGAMOUS. we share what we have and NOBODY ELSE in between. i am the same way with aba. when he sent me something special a while back , i didn't reproduce it at all. i also received a marvelous cd from ken-du and i never copied it for anyone. mike-you have a generous nature. unfortunately some people take kindness for weakness. i am not one of them. |

Check the EOS version of I'LL BE IN TROUBLE.....it is definatly longer than the lp or 45 version of the song.

David could reach pretty high... listen to how he does on "Walk Away from Love."
SS please settle soemthing for me. "Baby, Baby I Need You" was recorded with Al right? Did they ever remix it to include David? And is the last "so" Al's on the album, but on "Live" David does that last "so" right?

Does anyone notice on the live version of "Beauty" from the "Temptations Live" from the Upper Deck Cd...that David messes up the line in Beauty...? (Gosh my head hurts) I know I am not the only person that heard him say this one part on the song 3 times. He says "show me a girl, a girl thats fine" like 3 times...I think its cute...Because I love Davis Eli Ruffin.. |
