Nah, it was Otis doing his best Ruffin! Yeah I thought Leon did have a Davidish voice. I missed him playing Little RIchard but I wanted to see how he pulled that off.

I thought Beauty was Leon's best attempt at lip-synching. I watch him over and over while he mixes up two particular lines in the Losing You scene. I forgive him for that, though, because I had them confused, too.  Now I say just the opposite... at the end of Beauty I see the unpretty blunder when he is at the last OOOOHHH YEAAAAH. But I had to study the screen to catch the mess-up on Losing You...because (unless Im wrong... and thats a high probabilty(sp) it wasn't up-close like the one is on Beauty... Its still great though..I love the little moves at the beginning of Beauty and I Live, live, live.. for the moves on Losing you.... Poopie(Christian) is sooooo into it... |

Kiki, while I'll agree that the actors did a TREMENDOUS job with their rendition of "Losing You" (I love those angy looks on their faces which were historically inaccurate, yet SO fit the song) you haven't LIVED until you've seen the Tempts do it on "TCB." .......... probably their greatest television performance ever!

i even liked the 2min version on the sullivan medley clip we no longer have. david was hot on that one, and when i saw the clip, it looked like depasse lifted it for the miniseries.  |

This is exactly why I have to get that TCB tape. But the site is being mean to me. I'm gonna try it again though, cause I want that so badly!!! I saw Leon on TV yesterday on some movie that looked like it was back in the 40s. The mom from the Cosby Show (Phylisia Rashad or something?) was playing his wife. Tried to figure out what it was but the TV guide channel was messed up  . Man, I was gonna bid for that copy of TCB on Ebay, but they said I had to register first. Everytime I registered, it always said"page cannot be displayed". I've tried over and over again. Now the bid is closed and the tape goes to somebody who's payin' $16 for the tape. I was gonna bid $25! I'm not happy right now.  |
