I'm going to have to presume that the "Jacksons" is the Jackson 5, led by Michael. If that's the case, it's impossible for the Primes and the Primettes to compete with them, since they already were long established as the Temptations and the Supremes. The Jackson 5 came around somewhere around 1968. By then, David had come and gone from the Tempts, and the supremes were starting their second generation of singers. |

The PRIMES were orginaly Eddie, Paul, and Cal ... The Primettes were Diana Mary and Flo (I belive) ... They both got together and called themselves the PRIMES AND PRIMETTES ... For reasons unknown to me ... That group disbanded in detriot and Eddie and Paul went with O, Melvin, and Elbridge ... And the Primettes went on to be the Supremes ;D |

There was some girl group singing a Supremes song in a talent show against the J5, if that's what you mean.
