Why would the Tempts record such a crappy song. Norman Whitfied was the Producer what was he thinking.
For Real....Papa was the song that saved the Album "All Directions

For Real....Papa was the song that saved the Album "All Directions Doc T In Otis' book he mentioned them HATING the song. I've never listened to it and from the things I've heard of it I don't want too. ..............I wish I knew what they were thinkin'.

Perfectly relevant social commentary. Surely I don't need to explain that to anyone here. Y'all should have been with me an hour ago when a group of us from church went to visit a new condo that one of our members has just moved into in an otherwise all-white complex. Apparently there's some neighborhood rule that folks aren't allowed to stand on the sidewalk because everyone going past us was like .

It was a terrible way of using a record for social commentary. When I first listened to it, laughed my a$$ off. I understood what they meant though. It's probably the worst of their socially conscious songs. It just sounded stupid.
