I'm getting old, I watched the entire show. I thought that Chris rock did a good job. I was pleased that Morgan and Jamie won. It was about time for Morgan and Jamie did deserve it. Sometimes that doesn't always happen at the Oscars, having Prince present was a suprise, but with Santana and Beyonce' on the show as well P Diddy presenting they are definetly trying to get a different age group to watch. It is still a little too boring for the younger crowd.

Well, it was still pretty boring for ME (the older crowd) they still have a long way to go to eliminate the 'booooorrrinnnggg' part LOL, (IMO of course). Beyonce' singing three of the 5 songs didn't change that each song was more of a snoozer than the last (to me)...and two nominees in foreign languages....ok :sleeping . I just flat out didn't care which one won, and couldn't tell you this morning...IMO none were worthy or memorable. I liked P Diddy coming out under his real name, which he also used when he played in Monster's Ball. (I don't know if he's been in any other films... ). I also couldn't tell you a word Prince had to say...

Kalisa, I don't disagree with anything you said. what did you think of Chris's monolouge Gua... well it was...'ok'...not as edgy as we were led to expect, but not as boring as some... funny in parts. I had hopes, from the beginning when he did seem to going irreverent...but he didn't seem to keep the momentum. But... was it him who introduced Penelope Cruz and Salma Hayak sayiing "you won't be able to take your eyes off the next four presenters" or something? What did you think, overall?

Chris and Jamie and "Ray" were the main reasons I watched the show... I usually just check online to see 'who won what' and then the Entertainment magazines for 'who wore what'. I called it right... I had hoped with the hot race between Clint and Jamie on Best Actor, Clint would get the Director nod and the Actor go to Jamie... fair enough for me! I did love hearing Clint give a shout out to an old stomping grounds of mine, the Mission Ranch in Monterey County... (which he at owns at least in part )

I liked his intro....I don't care for Jude Law and I agree that In my mind he is not a star.....apparently Sean Penn didn't agree, but who is he anyway . I didn't see the Cruz and Hayak intro i must have stepped out of the room. I give Chris a 7.5 out of 10. I did like his Tux, I heard that P Diddy designed it....impressive

I don't have much an opinion of Jude one way or the other...he's just kinda "blah" to me in the roles I've seen. I hadn't heard that P Diddy designed Chris's Tux... YAAAAY for him, it was very classy! I'd pretty much agree with your 'rating system'... good but not a 10. I'm not counting down the days till the next Oscars because it got me so enthused... but he was amusing at times. I KNOW Chris is capable of better, but given the constraints of the show and all, he did a good job.

. I did like that one french song beyonce did, it was very classy. As for the rest I didn't watch except to see Mr. Foxx win. and I was very happy about that though I knew it all along Weaky She did ok on that, I liked her better on the duet myself. I thought the French song might have been better served being done by Celine Dion... but it was Beyonce's night so I'm not mad. It was the song that bored me, not the singer. Just not something I'd leave the theater humming...
