That's outasight! I love those shows. Are you guys going to sing "Welcome To My Heart"? I digs that song. Incidently the guy who helped me put my CD together George Tooks (formerly of the "Genies"), is currently singing with "Bobby Thomas and the Orioles". They are supposed to do a Doo-Wop show sometime in August or September. Bobby's wife has been ill for sometime, so i don't know if they will perform. Let it fly Curet, i truly wish that i could see the live taping. :wtg

Hi Guys,
I just received word yesterday, from Earl Lewis, that we will be in Atlantic City (The Sands Hotel) on March 14, 2005 for a taping of a PBS Special, promoted/hosted by TJ Lubinsky.
I will let you know when the show will air and who else will be on the show. Way to go, Joe C-30!! . Sounds like they're going to be taping this December's PBS Beg-a-Thon. Of note, the Tempts, the Tops and Frankie Valli are all in the area at around that time. With the exception of the 2003 Beg-a-Thon, Frankie usually co-hosted the show with Jerry Butler and appeared, as well. Please let us know if he shows for this one. Also, it's no crime to break up when another group membere makes a clown face during a performance. The 4 Seasons used to make a career of comedy routines during their performances, and the group chemistry was something to behold. A few guys named Eddie, Paul, David, Melvin and Otis (Forget what they called themselves) also added a lot of humor, group and audience interaction. It's what made a lot of those shows special. It also told the audience they were worth more than just songs, and it also showed them that what they were seeing and hearing was being done live before their eyes. It's awful hard to lipsynch when you're breaking up in laughter at a fellow entertainer's antics. Earl should lighten up. Good luck, and let us know how it goes.

Ok, So we arrive on Wed March 16, 2005 just before noon. We do our sound check and rehearse with the band.
Who is still at the Sands for another taping?...
The Four Tops.
Levi Stubbs was there and he looked well. He seemed excited to be in the midst of other performers such as Earl "Speedo" Carrol, Jerry Butler and Willie Winfield. Levi had his whole family with him; I must say he is very fortunate to have a loving and caring family.
I had the chance to speak with Duke briefly. He still looks fit and trim.
The Four Tops put on a great show with Theo on lead and giving honors to Levi.
I ran into Theo as I was checking out and we spoke about church and gave him my card and said "if you can get up before noon, stop on by this Sunday. Our service starts at 11:00am and ends about 2:30pm - 3:00pm"
BTW - we shot four consecutive songs in ONE take
