Ok, for those of you who DON'T know, I am a Hunter S. Thompson fanatic. He's been my favorite author since... ages. I love everything he has ever written, I own most of his books, I can quote the entirity of "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" because I have read the book and seen the movie more times then is probably good for my health, and I even made a mini-road trip to Woody Creek to just SEE his house. Friday, I totally HST-ized my live journal on Xanga and I was going crazy with the quotes, so I finally told my friends "Sorry! But I love Hunter S. Thompson with a passion some of you will never quite know." Last night I was talking with my exboyfriend about the awesomeness that is Hunter. And then I woke up this morning and my mom told me he shot himself over night. I hate crying. Most of you probably don't know who Hunter S. Thompson is, and if you do, chances are you don't care for him too much. That's just the way it goes. But he's one of my heros and I'll miss him terribly, so I'm doing this super duper tribute post. RIP Hunter S. Thompson. I hope you've found the peace that you could never find here.

I've never heard of him, Dbaby. Nevertheless, I am very sorry that a fellow human being took his own life ... I wish nobody ever would have to be that desperate. May his soul find eternal peace. :crying

Yeah, I didn't really like it too much the first time I saw it, but as soon as it was over I felt the need to watch it again and again and again and it kept getting better and better everytime. And then I read the book and the rest is history!

And then I read the book and the rest is history! Since you were such a big fan, sorry for your loss! I was familiar with him, but not a fanatic. Still, every loss is painful, after all. RIP...H.S.T. ...raindrops will hide my teardrops...
