Yes, Mike, Dennis did it again ... he proved that stories can be told and interviews can be given in a professional yet personal style ... that's class in my eyes, too. I am sorry I jumped on that "David subject" again. I t just drives me nuts to hear people talk like that ... Don't be sorry, you are allowed to express your feelings just like anyone else on this board. How else will you learn? Hell, you see how I do about PAUL,DAVID,EDDIE,MELVIN & DENNIS. When talking about music,Otis, too.

He wouldn't have kissed Otis' ass either. You keep it up,say what's on your mind...everybody else does, why not you?Unless there's an unwritten law against taking up for David,if so I'm in violation...and proud of it! temptsinfo.com/smilies/wtg.gif

Does caring and respecting mean ignoring his faults? It's time to get real here. David used profanity and used it often. He used it anytime he felt like and around whoever he felt like it. What's the big deal? When's the last time someone went to jail for cursing? Defending is one thing, fantasy is another. The man wasn't perfect no matter how you look at the picture. I love David as much as the next person, but I also know enough about him to know that. It does not take away from his greatness. It only makes him human which he was.............if he was a god.........he'd still be here today.

No it doesn't mean ignoring someone's faults. But it ccertainly doesn't mean either to believe everything that is said about such a person without questioning the circumstances surrounding such remarks...

What I don't understand is what does this have to do with Dennis' interview? I guess about as much as Sam Champion!

Aba was referencing reply 7 and onward where AnnaK is defending poor potty-mouth David as though he weren't a potty-mouth, instead of sticking to 'real' issues...that's what it has to do with the Dennis interview.

Kalisa,I realize that, but let's face it,the interviewer didn't have to go there, did he? Did we have to hear about his love for Sam Champion? To me,it's just like the socks at a Donnie Simpson interview. I'm all for sticking to the issues,it just seems like you & I are the only ones who want to. Maybe it bothers her in the same manner as things bother people that feel about Mr Williams-Miles. Think so?

" ... AnnaK is defending poor potty-mouth David as though he weren't a potty-mouth, "
Kalisa, if you read my post without letting your prefabricated opinion get in your way, you will notice that I don't even touch that subject of "potty-mouth." What I am trying to show is that once again there is a story told about someone/David which taken out of the context of his being cheated before, makes him look like a f-word using moron. While, if one knows his background, David's reaction to being asked to give his tapes to a no-name limousine driver does not appear quite as banal. (Personally, the f-word doesn't really mean much to me ... I think it's become kind of hackneyed.) It's like showing Paul with a glass in hands at every occasion possible just to bring the point across that he had a problem ... not knowing what was in these glasses. Could have been water or apple juice, for example ;D

... and by the way, couldn't Mr. Jones have stuck to Dennis Edwards? Maybe, he just thought Dennis was too boring ... or the music of the Temptations was not interesting enough to talk about, or he just wanted to brag about his gig as limousine driver. When I was tuning in to the interview, I was expecting to hear a lot about Dennis Edwards -- nothing about David and that other guy Mr. Jones was courting while on the air ...
