Tonight, from 9:00-11:00 (EST), BET is having their 10th annual Walk of Fame show, honoring Smokey Robinson. I'm watching it right now, and they've had some pretty good songs on it. Um... Brian McKnight, Boyz II Men, they sang some of his songs, it's probabely worth watching...

Was that keith Sweat? He tried to do them some justice but man I really miss the Temps. That was not all that cool. In singing Get Ready, it sounded like his voice was getting sore or something... he would try to do high notes, they would come out all soft and rough... Coey, Usher hasnt came on yet... I guess he'll be in the second half of the program (the next hour)

What is that girl's name in FLOETRY? That girl is bad. So far Gerald and her are the best thing that has been on the show. What about INdia Arie. She does not have the pipes. Man I miss the Tempts.

Of all the members of New Edition, Johnny was always least able to dance and sing, especially uptempos. Ricky Bell should have sang "Get Ready", since he has a naturally high voice. Johnny Gill definately held down "My Girl". For not being David Ruffin or Dennis Edwards, I think he did the song justice.

let me tell you something. Gerald Levert got down. The girl from Floetry sang her heart out. But, Smokey jammed. They say a man ain't supposed to cry but smoKey brought tears to my Eyes. This was the best Walk of Fame that I have seen and Smokey made it that way. He is not ever been one of my favorite singers but they many got his roll out tonight.

Usher appeared on the Ray special which is re-airing on BET Thursday night I think. The titles that Smokey sang was Just to see Her,Being with You and Crusin.
What lady remade More Love about 20 or 25 years ago? I heard this version before I heard the Miracles.
Gerald "Patrick Labelle"Levert has a lil bit much theatrics while performing to me. lol

Don't forget Brian McKnight, I think he was like the first person to sing...
As for the whole Usher thing, he came on, it was just like a minute long clip of him saying how much he looked up to Smokey or something like that, not what they led you to think in the previews.
