I started a thread in the General area called "The Former Leads Of The Temptations", and I can't post in it. It seems to have self locked, all on it's own. Actually, It hapened on more than one thread I started. Does anybody know what's happening?

Seriously, you did the right thing. There is also a thread that stays at the top of the "general" board to report locked threads in as well.
