Great album.I think that they should have released "Look What You Started" as the first single...followed by "Do You Wanna Go With Me?" To me they were much stronger than "Wonder Who's She's Seeing Now." "Little Things" is nice...more tracks from this LP should have been added to the EOS box set.

I liked "I Got Your Number" and "Look What You Started" the best. If there's any complaint with "Together Again", it's that it's a little overproduced.

Well since it was a late '80s R&B album, overproduction seemed to be inherent everyone's albums. For me "Together Again" had too much machinery, too many synths, kind of popish in spots and I never was crazy about the producers either--or some of those effects on the vocals.

Same thing was said about "Walk Away From Love". I don't agree.

I'd like to have Together Again on CD, my only copy is on vinyl and the state of vinyl was dismal during that time. I also remember being very bummed out about Together Again appearing on the Motown insignia--although with a purplish tint. Ok, that's my geek moment of the day.

"Together Again" was a great album and I'm still trying to find a copy. "I Wonder Who She's Seeing Now" I think was their best song of the 80's after "Treat Her Like A Lady". The underrated track is "Everytime I Close My Eyes", featuring Richard's solo, which should have been released.

"Together Again" was also the only album of the 1980's to produce 2 top 10 R&B hits, which hadn't happened since "A Song For You".

But for what it's worth, "Lady Soul" ("To Be Continued" 1986) peaked at #4 on the R&B charts and number 47 on the pop, the other two didn't even make it onto the pop charts.

By the 80's did the pop charts for singles even matter? "Shakey Ground" was the last song to even make the Top 40 Pop. By then, funk bands (EWF, PFunk, Ohio Players, Graham Central, Commodores) were the flavor of the month of R&B groups to crossover to pop charts successfully and the trends remained that way until the late 80's. The Tempts only had 5 Top 10 R&B hits in the 80's. The 2 from "Together Again" (ppl were glad to hear Dennis again and vocal acts were coming back in at this time), the 2 Woodson songs, and "Standing On The Top" (fueled by Reunion tour).
