Yeah, but I've actually heard people say "Spelt" just as you..er...spelled it. LOL!

And SPELT is not incorrect to use for the past tense of spell...just a little "Fun with One's Dictionary." Please, feel free to quote me and amaze your friends.  |

Are you all aware that SPELT is actually a kind of grain? And SPELT is not incorrect to use for the past tense of spell...just a little "Fun with One's Dictionary." Please, feel free to quote me and amaze your friends. My mother would cringe at the very thought of this if she could read it....LOL! Ed |

I have not made a post on this board for some time now. I stumbled upon this post and noticed that I am regarded as an AWOL poster. All is well with me for those of you who would like to know. I hardly ever have any time to visit and post on this particular board--my schedule is a hefty one, to say the least! Needless to say, I am still a fan of the Tempts; however, my interests in Afrikan History, the Reconstruction thereof, and Culture have gradually pushed the Tempts back on the chain of precedence. It is as though Amos Wilson, Chancellor Williams, John Henrik Clarke, Na'im Akbar, Wade Nobles, Runoko Rashidi, Yosef ben-Jochannan, Cheikh Anta Diop, Asa Hilliard III, Ivan Van Sertima, John G. Jackson and many other individuals have replaced David, Eddie, Dennis, Melvin, Otis, and Paul--hence becoming the legends that I regard as such. The aforementioned scholars have served as the hands which have molded me into an ardent Pan-Afrikanist/Nationalist. I am still doing particularly well in my engineering studies (read: HARD WORK) and should complete the requirements for my degree next year. When I have time I will post. Peace!

Hi guys!  What's been going on here? I myself haven't been on in a while, I dont have time to get on the net nearly as much as I used to....but I do still love my Tempts! It seems like so many members are now inactice now, and I hate to be one of them, but now taht school's back in, I kindda have to be...best of luck to yall who do get to come here on a regular basis! |
