So much for Luther Ingram. Dave sings circles around him. There ain't a soul alive who can say that David doesn't have the better version. www.sharemation.com/selfishreasons/IfLovingYouIsWrong.mp3What do you think about this songs? Who else would you like to hear sing this song? Why didn't Dave have a huge hit off of this?

That's why they didn't release the LP that David worked on with Smokey Robinson.

Luther will say he did the better version. But Luther would also know he was lying. The definitive version goes to Luther, but the best goes to David.

And how many people besides you & I know the man recorded the song? well, there is a small contingency. But there is contingency none-the-less. David stole that song.

I think David did a better job than Teddy Pendergrass on I Miss You,I also think David did a better job on No Matter Where You Are than GC Cammeron. That and 20 cents won't get you that White Castle burger !

That and 20 cents won't get you that White Castle burger ! Sure as hell did a better job than Teddy P. I used to wear that tape out, when I got it on cassette. I still groove off of it. David does two of the most soulful cries to ever be put on the wax. The man preached his way into that tune.

Yep I sure agree with this one temptsinfo.com/smilies/wtg.gif . I was listening to Music Choice(wich I so love on the weekends)well anyways I was singing along with Luther and It just was not right. U know how David added his own flair and just other words to the song. It just was not there with Luther I didnt like singing it his way .

I agree David did a better job. As usual, he makes you feel what he is singing.

I agree David did a better job. As usual, he makes you feel what he is singing. Yes, I agree too. I burned a compilation CD last year with this song on it, but now I don't know which CD I put it on. So it was nice to hear this morning. I love how he starts off with "I'm a man in desperation..." I grew up listening to this song, so I was very pleased to find out that David recorded a version.
