Most definitely, I personal like this version better than the original. David puts so much power and emotion into this song. Jimmy and David's entire album together is great. Too bad it didn't get it's proper recognition.

I still get chills when I listen to their "Stand by Me"... awesome!! "Didn't I Blow Your Mind" is my second favorite from that album I love the way they address each other by name on most of the songs, too...adds that "personal touch" .

Pardon my stupidity but who is Jimmy? He kinda sounds like Percy Sledge a little.

big john...Jimmy is Jimmy Ruffin, David's older brother. His major biggest hit here in the US was "What Becomes of the Brokenhearted".

David & Jimmy did a good job on it...but the song belongs to William Hart! Nobody can come close to his. You can hear Jimmy on the Tempts "Born To Love You"......Here Stands A Man...With His Future In Your Hands......is Jimmy's line.

No Jimmy Ruffin sings on the bridge, "Darling, I was born, born to love you, give my love to no one but you" or something to that effect have not listened to it in a while now

Here goes David ... Putting everything into a song that belongs there ... He is the best. I really think so.

Okay back to Percy ... You're right. Jimmy sounds more like Percy's brother than David's. But it's impossible to sound anyway like David Ruffin.
