Well, if you can get past the wretched backing tracks...sounds like a bad 80's elevator muzak. Whoever produced these tracks processed the sh*t out of the vocals with a harmonizer...Ruff sounds muffled on Put Out, & kind of reaching for a couple notes he can't quite hit.
But you can tell the technique is still there, even if the songs aren't. These cats deserved better than this.
Eddie sounds best on Goodnight Pillow...on that one at least he's still got it.
What year are these from?

Cheechy, I'm sorry that my "3 Tempt Rule" prevents me from studying this album. ;D since david and eddie are supertempts and were with the tempts twice, they count as 2 tempts individually. and it's not like you don't own the album. chicky, you are sleeping with the album.

David sounds as if he were on a leash ... something's holding him back. I think it's his concern for Eddie; Eddie's voice has suffered quite some damage at that point in time, I think, although he stilll sounds better than many other singers ...

Shout outs to ((((((((((((((EVERYBODY)))))))) in this thread!!
I have (((David)))) and (((Eddie)))'s album. When I first listen to it, I was thinking that David had taken over the album. I was just waiting to hear a lead by Eddie, and then when "Goodnight Pillow" came on, it bought tears to my eyes. Eddie sounds so Good. It's such a sad song.
I havea clip of the music video of "Lonely Hearts Club", and a clip of them singing "I Couldn't Believe It' on this show. David was really Playful in the song where Eddie acted real serious to me.
Hey (((Keeks))))! I Love your picture of the Classic Five!! TTYAL!

Love that album...I had 2 go thru hell and high water to find it on CD...I had it on cassette cuz I brought it when it first came out. Wish that the album was promoted more. I remember seeing David and Eddie on that old soap "Ryan's Hope" where they were written N2 a storyline with Pam from the "Martin" show..they were on for about 3 or 4 dayz... 'Lonely Hearts' Club", "Ordinary Girl", "Family Affair" and "Goodnite Pillow" were the best cuts...but personally I think it sounded 2 popish...not enough R&B...

I remember as well......I was doing some All My Children for a while back then and I don't know if you remember Roger and Delia but they became two of my good friends from that show....I always like Ryan's Hope.....I like the One More cut and a couple others but I wanted more as well and I really wanted more of Eddie but I think they kind of disguised him a bit during that time because of his voice...

Aba!! Thank goodness, I'm not the only one who remembers Eddie and David on that show...everyone I ask if they saw those episodes say they didn't know nothin about it...I don't recall those characters on AMC you mentioned because I really wasn't following the show then. But I did watch "Ryan's Hope" almost everyday. I liked the Zena storyline...and when E & D showed up on there, I fell out...I was like, now I'm really in Heaven, they showin my BOYS on one of my favorite shows. I didn't like how they ended their storyline though: remember Zena was supposed to open for them at a concert...and Eddie and David were NO-SHOWS and Zena did the show by herself...I mean they made it so Ruffinesque (no such word I know, but you know what I mean)...like these guys couldn't be depended on. And I know that was not like Eddie at all...that kinda made me mad...
