Back in the 70's Norman Whitfield produced an album for David, "Me & rock 'n roll are here to stay"
I found this one in my album collection. It is worth a listen. "Smiling Faces Sometimes" is a standout cut.

That is a cool lp. It opens up in the middle, made like a juke box. Has a nice picture of David in the middle. I happen to like his version of Smiling Faces............and Take Me Clear From Here as welll.

It's a shame the Undisputed Truth got the hit for that song. But Norman was into trying songs on different artist....The temptations did it firts on "Sky's the Limit"
Eddie and Dennis shared the lead vocals
David's version is very good as well

THIS IS A RARE FIND. YOU NEED TO LOOK IN A USED RECORD STORE. I SEEM TO FIND A LOT OF GEMS IN THOSE STORES......THE PEOPLE SOMETIMES LOOK WILD BUT THEY HAVE HAVE THE MUSIC OR THEY CAN TELL YOU WHERE TO FIND IT.

I think France did a CD pressing of Me N' Rock N Roll in the mid '90s. I like the original album--with those doors LOL.

I have the 45 and had it for a few months now, still have yet to listen to it. I'll put that on my to do list for tomorrow perhaps
