Well, you may have a point with the circus, but in the case of S&F's white tigers, if it weren't for the work they've done to save them they would likely be extinct. All of the white tigers in the world today are in captivity. The sad reality is they have no chance of surviving in the wild, they are losing their natural habitat to land development and they are worth more dead than alive to poachers.
Yes, it would be nice if they could roam free like they were able to in the past, but there's little chance of that now. They are actually THRIVING in their current condition (living in captivity actually adds about five years to their life span.)
But hey, S&F's tigers live better than I do.
