One more Britney mention. story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=495&ncid=689&e=2&u=/ap/20031009/ap_en_mu/britney_spearsSpears Not Trying to Attract Older Audience35 minutes ago NEW YORK - Is 21-year-old Britney Spears (news) trying to attract a more mature audience with her upcoming album, "In the Zone"?
No, the pop singer says. "The record label wanted me to do certain kinds of songs, and I was like, `Look, if you want me to be some kind of sex thing, that's not me,'" she tells Esquire magazine in its November issue. "I will never do that. I'm still doing what I love to do."
Spears appears on the cover in a short white sweater and high heels, re-creating a famous pose by actress Angie Dickinson (news).
But she doesn't see herself as superfamous. "I'm famous, but I'm not famous like freaking Brad Pitt (news) or Jennifer Aniston (news). But in my weird little head, I just think we're all here to inspire each other. We're all equal. We just bounce off each other and show the world what we can do."
Spears said if she didn't have a career in music, she "probably would have gone to college and become a schoolteacher.
"That was my dream, because I love kids," she said. "Either that, or an entertainment lawyer." And here's the cover picture, her "tribute" to Angie Dickinson: The original picture (Angie Dickinson):

That's the same thing I said. I was like, I'll be... doggone if she tried to teach my child. I got that little bit off another message board and somebody's reply went something like, "I wouldn't let her teach my imaginary dog a new trick!" Sad, but true.

Britney should be banned! seriously! she is teaching little girls to be whores and she has a message like "if u wanna guy, strip" my little cousins were even listening to a britney song and right off the bat they lifted their shirts to show some tummy. if i had little girls i wouldn't like them to follow britney. and as for the cigarette thing....like hell it makes ur voice sound better. as some of u said eddie kendricks is the perfect example....he lost that voice of his (RIP).

Guess I've just worked with too many artists that were so much better than Bo but hey every body is entitled to their own opinion. If he had his own style instead of biting on every body else's I'd respect him more. But I guess that's a style in itself huh. We'll see if a forty something solo artist can break the mold and make it big on his own merit. We will see.

i'm not saying that he hasn't taken his style from other people, but that's what people do. but getting your style from another person doesn't make on untalented. The man has a fabulous range and phrases well. range can't be taken away and phrasing becomes unique to each person, no matter who you are biting off of. style works the same as what i mentioned about phrasing. the context in which Bo uses his voice is unique and how he uses it no uniqur. I will grant that. But neither is anyone elses. they all got it from somewhere. Look at this way, varying era's have had many talented people who have had similar voices and styles. that doesn't make them untalented. You are probably just coming from a place where you see so much talent nothing moves you.
