It depends...I ate in one in Asheville, NC that was pretty good. I ordered food in one in SC that I wouldn't touch with someone else's fork. I guess it depends on who's cooking. It is primarily sandwiches and breakfast food. Their waffles aren't bad, and oddly, their specialty is hash browns.

Waffle House is like a poor, homely step-sister to IHOP. They have all kinds of different food, it is quick but not fast, and every exit on every interstate highway in the South has one. They are moving North and West, so keep watching. To you maybe.....but I'll drive right past IHOP to get to Waffle House............the big thing to me is the food will be hot!!!!! They make it right in front og you and that's what I want................if its su[pposed to be hot.............i want it hot!!!!! ;D ;D ;D Plus I do not like big ole bloated waffles..............the thin waffle is the kind my Grandmother used to make on her old waffle iron......

This is a good point, and an important one. The Waffle House is not a heat-lamp kind of place. You get your food as soon as it is done... :wtg

I agree with McRibs, I'd drive past a wafflehouse to eat in the garbage can anyday.

I wouldn't eat out of a garbage can...you get sloppy seconds from the rats, flies, and roaches! ...we won't look back... Whats the difference between that and Wafflehouse?

Well in this case, consider your self fortunate to be living on the West Coast where they dont have Wafflehouses Well, I am not exactly on the coast these days...about 300 miles away...but I get your drift. We have plenty of great food out west. Life is too short to eat mediocre food! ...I'm doing fine, up here, huh, on cloud nine...
