This thread was inspired by a combination of two things:
1. The recent thread for favorite movies 2. The recent re-explosion of horror flicks.
My question is this... What movie, or movie character, scares you the most? This does not have to be limited to the Freddy's and Jason's, but can include the dead people (from the Sixth Sense), Aliens, or even Michael Bolton orTori Spelling. ;D
For me, it is Michael Myers and the original Halloween movie. So what do you all think?

Hmmm.... movies don't usually scare me too bad, but I would have to say that The Ring scared the CRAP out of me. Like, it took a week until I could talk myself into sleeping again after that one. So, yeah, the freak little girl in the Ring would have to be the scariest.
But there's gotta be more. Let me think. Oh, in the movie 13 Ghosts, the ghost that's insane with a cage around her head and runs funny and scratches people up... she was pretty freaky too.
But other then that, there isn't much. Spiders and clowns are the only things that really scare me. Clowns are so scary they honestly make me cry if they come near me.

I know this is ridiculous... but even today, I am afraid of Cruella DeVil from the original 101 Dalmations (cartoon version). That face terrified me as a child and it still gives me chills when I see it. As far as actual horror/scary movies - Regan (Satan) in The Exorcist - very scary soundtrack (Tubular Bells), great special effects, make up, etc. - a classic.

For us OLD FOLKS, there was a movie that came out in the early 70s, I think, called the "Trilogy of Terror" with Karen Black. Remember the little voodoo doll that was in it? When his magic necklace was removed, he came to life....he ran around the house chasing the poor woman with a little knife. No matter what she did, she couldn't kill him..... tried to drown him, stuck him in an oven.... etc. I hated that thing.
I don't normally watch scary movies..... I just don't like them and don't like being scared. ;D

One of the best... good one, Peach! I can still remember that little doll and often imitate that noise he made. ;D I don't normally watch scary movies..... For some reason, my answer deleted itself. I TRIED to say... FINALLY, someone else remembers that movie. I loved that little doll running around and still tend to imitate that little 'yi yi yi' sound he made every now and then. Good choice, Peach!

I just recently saw it on TV and watched parts of it.....it really wasn't as scary as I remembered it to be. Another one that freaked me out was "The Frozen Dead." This mad scientist kept body parts alive by electrical impulses or something...including a disembodied head named "Elsa" in a box. I swear, I saw that head in my room for months whispering, "Bury me...bury me" after that movie. ;D Here's a link about it. ;D www.jabootu.com/acolytes/bnotes/frozend.htmPeach
