sbortka, one of the posters at the Theo Yahoo group uploaded this and I thought I'd share. www.temptsinfo.com/media/songs/theo%20always%20and%20forever%20four%20tops%20live.rmEveryone say "thank you sbortka!!!" Listen for the part where Theo's voice get's quieter mid-way through the song, that's because he's singing without the mic. The effect is much more powerful in person, you can hear him all the way to back of the room.

Thanks, Ivory!! I love the parts where Theo backs away from the mic ...and everybody in the baseball stadium Wednesday night heard him!! That's some power! . He did it on a couple other songs, but "Always and Forever" was the highlight.

Someone announced today that Levi will not be singing with the group in the foreseeable future. They went on to say that he's being well taken care of and enjoying his retirement.

I'm sad that I've never had the opportunity to hear Levi live in concert, Mike. Hopefully that day will come soon. In the meantime, Theo is a worthy "place holder" for Levi.

Hope he'll come back im sure he will someone whose been singing all of his life can't live without it I think its in there blood. I was reading an interview with Dennis in which he said he took a break from singing a few years ago and it was the worst year of his life. But now he just wants to take a couple of days out each week to rest and have a normal life. But I guess its a bit different with levi due to his illness. Oh well come back soon Levi if you're going to if not Theo keep it going my man! temptsinfo.com/smilies/wtg.gif

it would be nice for Levi to come back. I would love to hear and see him perform. but if i never get the chance, I'll just have to watch my main man, Theo do his thing.

Levi had a series of medical problems. People who have had strokes usually either quickly get back to normal, or else learn to live an adjusted life of adaptation to certain limitations. If there was any paralysis at all, it might very well affect his throat, or part of his throat, and his vocal chords. While therapy is done by a speech therapist who works with their speech and their swallowing techniques, a singer needs so much more than mere speech and swallowing techniques.

Jane...where was it you saw this announcement? Wednesday nite Duke said "with all of our prayers, Levi could return and we're hoping that will happen".

dallas ............... Theo holds the distinction of being the ONLY Tempt to make me wanna bum-rush the stage, you know, crazed-fan syle. .......... of course he was a Four Top when he did it.

I am very sad to hear that Levi may not return to the stage, he is one of my favorite singers, and I have all of the Four Tops albums, and EVERY song he sang was done so with power, class, style, and emotion, no one is on his level, (the same could be said of Ruffin, Kendricks, Edwards and Paul) Theo is a great singer, but Levi is on another level no one can replace him. (also the same could be said of Ruffin, Kendricks, Edwards and Paul)

It was told to me that Levi had prostrate cancer, and had a slight stroke...but at NO time did anyone in the know say he was NOT coming back! For the Tops sake,I hope he comes back because they NEED him. Theo is a good substitute...but they NEED LEVI STUBBS to be the "FOUR TOPS" ! And that's the truth! Otherwise, they can FORGET ABOUT IT !

I would pay to hear Levi sing just two songs and I would be happy: The Four of Us and I Believe In you and Me.

I Believe In you and Me.
Forgive me but good ole Whitney sang a song with that title..is it the same song?...If it is I happen to adore it...if it isn't then I need to hear Levi also...
